I coulc really use this Kindle Fire because I have the Kindle 3G My problem is that I am on a fixed income and I have difficulty with the 5 way button. If I had a Kindle Fire, I could read much faster. I am disabled and no one from Amazon can help me. Is there something you can do to get me a Kindle Touch. I would really appreciate it. Thank you

    Maybe Adrienne Malaspina does the same thing I do..I get free ebooks..(as I am sure you do also). My husband and I are both disabled and on fixed incomes. We share an Amazon Kindle. I have paid for 1 book. The cost was $2.99. Right now we have over 400 ebooks. I think the free ebooks are wonderful as they have allowed me to “meet” other authors then “the namebrands”.

  I just traded with my mother, my kindle w/keyboard for her Kindle touch. And we both like the keyboard better. The touch is a pain in the butt and will skip pages no matter how lightly you touch it. The fire on the other hand is much heavier, but easy to use if you can hold a stylus. I am entering to try and win her one!

  i don’t understand why she is using the 5 way button to read. I have the kindle keyboard and my husband has the 79 dollar kindle. my daughter has the touch and I don’t care for it either but on the keyboard or the regular you use the handy buttons on either side to turn pages.

  My son bought the Fire. I have the original $199 Kindle. (like an old DOS computer…..haha…was a Mother’s Day gift from son and I LOVE it) and it works fine! I can read anything on it. But I agree with you…I like the features on the Fire. An upgrade is always nice…the color..the bells and whistles we don’t have…
  
  As for the comment WAY up there about the disabled person on a fixed income…maybe her Kindle was a gift also, or she bought herself something. Is the person who made the (rude) comment saying that because she is disabled and on fixed income that she isn’t intitled to anything nice for herself? WOW…don’t have much compasion do you?

I have always had a love of reading and have tried to instill that in my children. My daughter and I collect and read antique books. I got the basic Kindle recently and love being able to take my stories whereever I go. The kindle fire would be great for my son who likes more activity attached to his learning style.

I have the original kindle with the keyboard, my husband was recently injured at work and all he can do is read so I bought him a regular kindle. My daughter has the IPAD so we all can share books. Unfortunately, I seem to be the only one that buys them I would love to step up to the newest Kindle Fire – I read on average 3-4 books a week and I think it would be a great addition for my library:)

I would love a Kindle Fire…I have the Kindle 3G; however, it is well worn and I’m having problems with it freezing on me whenever I try to highlight something.

I hope I’m not too late…I just saw this announcement.
I think that Kindle Fire is perfect in so many ways. You can do just what you do on a computer. The price is very fair. It is great for all ages.
