"Season of Lies" exploded with a rich voice, fresh premise, touching insights about mental illness, social outcasts and tons of heart. I couldn't resist the components of urban fantasy spiced with a healthy dash of contemporary reality aged in several generations of fractured human nature. I fell into the story, cuddled up and ignored my work. Unfortunately about three quarters of the way through I felt like the story lost Robin's voice. The book tied up all the lose ends but was not as satisfyingly as I expected it to be. Still a good read, especially if you like underdogs, wildlife, and "One Flew Over The Cuckoos Nest" (with a happy ending).
