The book is a wonderful drama/adventure, with plenty of action, intrigue, and humor that sparkles at just the right moments. There's also a romantic subplot that grows naturally, without knocking you over the head or forcing an artificial "love at first sight." Overall, it's one of the best books I've read all year, and certainly the best self-published novel I've read in a long time.
