Here’s the set-up:
Beautiful women, a designer clothing industry, and priceless jewelry have attracted the worst of shadowy crime figures and corrupt businessmen. The novel tracks the suffering of innocents who work among the famous and the idle party goers who inhabit a playground of glamorous settings within the western reaches of Los Angeles. The lives of movie stars, fashion models, and undocumented workers are enveloped in the business of fashion retailing. The realism of the book extends to criminals who insinuate themselves in unique and deceptive ways to exploit and corrupt the fashion industry by resorting to any means, including murder. Most of the story centers around the production of a Beverly Hills fashion show.
