“Author Charles Joseph’s Somali Dawn is a nonstop thrill ride of a book. I mean over 200 pages of a pure adrenaline rush. The story follows solider Jack Kearns who is given the task of retrieving a ransomed tanker from pirates. That is just the start to the story, and from there is just an action packed decent into a suspenseful thriller. There is even a little romance thrown in.
This book was so good that I don’t want to give too much away that spoils it. So I will keep it simple. The book is a real page-turner. It practically keeps you glued to your chair while reading. When I was reading I found it so difficult to find stopping points because it kept me on the edge of my seat from the first page. If you were looking for a gripping and intriguing read I would definitely recommend this book. I am looking forward to reading more from this author.”

However, there is also a fair bit of romance between Jack and Sala, not to mention an element of mystery regarding the nature of her secret. The most impressive part of the novel, however, is simply the ground that it manages to cover in a relatively short space. At less than 250 pages, “Somali Dawn” somehow manages to feel like a thriller of more than 300. That is not to say that it feels like an overbearing read, or that the pace is slow. In fact, quite the opposite. The pace is so fast, that author Charles Joseph manages to cram in the action without letting the reader succumb to boredom.”
