From the reviewers:

Almost from the beginning, I was on the edge of my seat. While I was silently willing the protagonist Michael to steal everything from the jerk of the valet customer, I was shocked by the turns in the first chapters. I never expected that suspense to be maintained!  — Michelle V.

This book was interesting from the very beginning and had a way of hooking you in. The characters were rich with personality. The story was very good with hardly a dull moment. Michael Dane is a very lovable character for any reader, its amazing how the author doesn’t make the change in him obvious but does it with style and grace.  — Zaq

I enjoyed this book greatly, it was an entertaining and quick read that at times had me laughing outright. Sure, it has some choppy spots. But all in all it was great fun.  — K

I enjoyed the author’s accurate depiction of the region where I currently reside. He captured the scenery and the quirks of the residents quite accurately. The dependence upon the deaf community that sprung up around his parents’ home and the deaf school was a unique element. Yet it was carried out with tact and balance.  — Kristi Scheuler

David Lee Martin went to school to become a sign language interpreter in the 1980s. Despite not pursuing interpreting for a living, he remained fascinated with the deaf community and its lack of representation in the fiction world.

Many years and many adventures later, David decided to write a mystery series that incorporated both the deaf and children of deaf adults.

Interpreter for the Dead is the first book in the Michael Dane Mystery Series.
