I wrote this book because I believe understanding the fundamentals of investing is a crucial first step in making the right investment decisions, which today more than ever is mandatory for any investor who cares about his or her financial future.

Unlike books focusing on analysis of stocks, this book is really about self-analysis. The fundamental principle is that most people make bad investment decisions because they are not aware that they are really begin impulsive and are not making rational, calculated decisions. Clearly, impulsive behavior is the number 1 reason for most people's investment disasters, and this book focuses on avoiding such situations. The book provides very practical and easy to digest guidance on how to evaluate your decisions (not your stock analysis - your own decision process and are you being rational and calculated or are you simply acting on an impulse).
