The setting used in the novel was really interesting, and I liked how he incorporated the rich history of the area (even if it was fiction) into the drama unfolding in each scene. Very impressive!

Here's the set-up:

As soon as I finished reading Rough Draft, I immediately Googled the town in question, wondering if these events were partly true, it was so well-written. The book pulls you into the story as you try and keep up with the twists and turns that follow the characters. I was trying hard to think of what may happen next and the author threw a curve ball at me as a body turns up....then another....then another. Put three well known horror writers in the same town and sit back and watch the horror come to them.
