The Duplicata
by David Thornhill Thompson
A Note to Our Readers from the Author:
When I wrote The Duplicata, a mystery about a counterfeit Ferrari with hero who is a motorsports journalist and also drives race cars, I was fearful that women would be driven away by those connections. To my everlasting joy, half of the twenty 4-5 star reviews are from women. They each say basically the same thing,”When I started this book I didn’t think I was going to like it. I didn’t–I loved it and I can’t wait for (our hero) Ned’s next adventure. Hurry up, David.’
You can read all the reviews here.
Ok, so you’re a woman and maybe you don’t care for cars or mysteries. How about your Best Friend? The other half of the reviewers are car guys who are over the moon. Some of their comments are embarrassing to a first-time author. Clive Cussler? Robert B. Parker? David Baldacci? Come on folks!
So if you know a car guy do him a favor and tell him about The Duplicata. Better yet, give him a Christmas present. And get yourself some extra peace while he reads it. LOL

Here’s the set-up:
“What a wild ride! Well-developed characters, each nicely flawed and very real. Solid scenes in an international travelogue. Crackling dialogue.” – Steven Manchester–Editor
“Well paced story with a surprise ending. The plot is well constructed and the action holds up in every page. Some of the best scenes are in the main character’s personal life and you can’t help but like him. David Thornhill Thompson should hurry up with his next book. All in all it’s a good read.” – Amazon Reviewer, 4 Stars
