What happens when a group of the world’s wealthiest people desire a haven for themselves and their assets?

Pacificus is built one hundred miles off the coast of Ecuador. This manmade island is governed solely by a set of principles and relies on the common sense of its inhabitants instead of laws.

What could go wrong?

For Gaspar Delgado, the island’s administrator, nothing. He need only find the balance between the privileged indulgence of its residents and order.

However, Conrad Silverstein, a smug self-serving newspaper editor, is certain something sinister lurks under the high-minded values supposedly espoused by Pacificans and sends reporter, Alicia Jones, to find out what it is.
