1 Shifting and Shenanigans
Paige and her adventurous Aunt Glo inherit a country inn from eccentric GeeGee. Finally! They can get into the secret room in the basement that GeeGee kept locked! They discover it’s a wonderful library filled to the brim with mystery books. But more than the room was a secret – it’s a magical place that houses enchanted books. Paige and Glo find themselves absorbed into the book – smack-dab in the middle of a murder mystery, along with a motley group of book club friends. The club will need to work together to solve the case in order to get out of the book and back to their home.
~ Finalist – 2022 Cozy Mystery Tribe Awards for BOOK OF THE YEAR ~

2 Vampires and Villains
The book club has recovered from their first book journey, and they all agree on their next book which takes place on a cruise ship bound for Hawaii. The problem is, they were so excited about the cruising idea that they didn’t read the entire blurb on the back of the book. (“It was entirely too long,” explains Zell.) Once on the ship, they meet a charming and likeable man who blends seamlessly into their motley group. Too bad they don’t know why he’s so scarce during the day but shows up to join them every evening for dinner, drinks, and a show. When a dead body shows up on board, their new friend is labeled a suspect. Can they help him out by finding the real murderer? Or is he the real murderer? The book club will need to solve the case to get off the ship, out of the book, and back to their home.

3 Cowboys and Chaos
On this book journey, the club chooses a mystery that takes place in a quaint western town – in the old Wild West. That sounds like great fun, until they arrive in the dusty old town in the Arizona desert, among cowboys and saloons. They discover that the outhouse isn’t the worse thing about this trip. The good news is that Paige, Glo, Zell, Frank, and the other members of the club discover plenty of adventures here, and they have a great time visiting a piece of history. Upon their arrival in the book, they even get the best surprise ever. This brave, loyal, and goofy group gets to live through many exciting moments as they unravel this ghostly cozy mystery story.

·2023 BRONZE MEDAL – LITERARY FICTION – READERS’ FAVORITE
·2023 FINALIST – LITERARY FICTION – INTERNATIONAL BOOK AWARDS

It’s the end of the world, and Hertell Daggett has decided to save it. Well not save it so much, as just, remember it. The earth’s magnetic poles have reversed and civilization has just had its clock reset to the great cosmic flashing 12:00am from almost a million years ago, and humanity, and everybody in it, is pretty much forgetting everything it learned since the last time.

Everybody except Hertell, who remembers pretty much everything because he’d once been shot in the head — the doctors got the bullet out, but missed a few tiny specks of copper that remained, floating inside his brain, connecting him to the things everybody else on earth is slowly forgetting.

Hertell sees an opportunity to start civilization all over again, and maybe even get it right this time. What could possibly go wrong?

Joanne C. Parsons, the author of the award-winning novel, Kitchen Canary, offers readers Pull of the Moon, a novel described by Diane Donovan, Senior Reviewer, Midwest Book Review, as having “…a strong psychological depth that keeps readers thoroughly immersed.”

1800s…In Pull of the Moon, three unlikely strangers are brought together out of need. Edmund Kenney, a destitute Irish immigrant laboring on the docks of Cape Cod in Massachusetts, reluctantly agrees to an arranged marriage to Lenora Wilson, a frail, reclusive young woman, after her controlling father, Captain James Wilson, promises him respectable work and a comfortable home. Captain Wilson tries to assure the couple will not live as man and wife, sending Edmund out to sea on whale hunts for months, leaving Lenora in the care of Frances Foster, a fifteen-year-old girl abandoned on her first day in America. With Edmund out to sea, Lenora’s father, greedy Captain Wilson, uses the home to rent extra rooms to questionable characters. Frances and Lenora bond as they create mischief, spying on the boarders, and exposing them as thieves and frauds. Only the most skilled deceive the women, leaving Frances heartbroken, and Lenora ashamed.

Pull of the Moon, a novel about loyalty, trust, and truth, follows Edmund, Lenora, and Frances as they suffer broken promises, endure heartache, and for some, find the courage to start over.

Joanne Parsons has a special gift for profiling different characters, their motivations, and the rationale behind their perceptions and actions.” Diane Donovan, Senior Reviewer, Midwest Book Review

Here’s the set-up:

“I ALWAYS WANTED TO BE A COWBOY …”

Journey through the dusty plains of Texas and the rugged mountains of Colorado in author Jim Duke’s debut, DANCES WITH DONKEYS: The Memoir Of A Half-Assed Cowboy—the often hilarious, occasionally poignant, sometimes hair-raising, and always entertaining tales of a man who dropped out of high school and took off for Texas to become a cowboy.

In this captivating memoir, Duke recounts his adventures and ass-inine misadventures with mules, donkeys and horses as he introduces readers to the complexity and variety of personalities among these intelligent creatures. Through prose and poetry, he shows the deep bond that can form between humans and equines.

Whether you’re a fan of cowboy culture or just love a good memoir, DANCES WITH DONKEYS is reminiscent of cowboy poet laureate Baxter Black with a twist in the saddle. You’ll laugh your “ass” off and come away with a whole new understanding of why little boys and girls grow up dreaming of being cowboys. Don’t miss out on this one-of-a-kind journey into the heart of the American West.

Here’s the set-up:

When widow Frances Lacey was murdered in July 1960 on Mackinac Island, only a few meager clues were found by police, and the case soon turned cold. But more than sixty years later, will those same clues finally solve the mystery?

On July 24, 1960, the quaint charm and serenity of Mackinac, nestled between Michigan’s Upper and Lower Peninsulas, was shattered by Lacey’s brutal death. Despite a massive manhunt and thousands of pages of police reports, her killer was never caught.

Now, in GRIM PARADISE, true crime author Rod Sadler (Killing Women) delves into the secrets of one of Michigan’s most perplexing murder cases. Offering an in-depth and suspenseful account of the long-standing mystery, he poses the question:

Could advanced DNA technology lead to the identity of the Mackinac Island murderer as it did recently in the case of the Golden State Killer?

Here’s the set-up:

Hell can be a tricky place with all of its rules. Mike Stone, hell’s lone practicing private eye, thinks he has it figured out, and more often than not, solves the cases that come his way. It’s not easy, though. Not with the fact that everyone in hell lies. And not with having to worry about a barbaric warlord from a long-forgotten time after his head. Or a compatriot of Vlad the Impaler wanting to purify his soul in a chamber of horrors for all eternity. Or that his circa 1992 Brooklyn private hell might be absorbed at any moment by a more aware soul. And then there’s that creepy Mortuary Man and whatever his agenda might be.

When Stone takes on a young woman as a client who wants him to find out who murdered her, it turns out to be his most dangerous case yet, and what he discovers might just be Hell’s biggest secret.
