Audible Audiobook
– Unabridged
In a moment of desperation two strangers make a wish, only to discover that sometimes a wish can take you down an unexpected path. When Wishes Collide, Book #3 in the Wish Series, is an emotionally compelling and suspenseful contemporary romance by #1 NY Times Bestselling Author Barbara Freethy.
Adrianna Cavello's life changed in an instant when a break-in at her restaurant took the life of her boyfriend and left her too traumatized to return to work. Months later, with everything she's ever wanted on the line, Adrianna makes a wish by tossing a coin into a fountain known for making miracles.
Wyatt Randall is also in need of a miracle. Two years earlier, his ex-wife kidnapped their daughter, and Wyatt is desperate to find his little girl. A new lead raises his hopes, but quickly fizzles out. When his coin clashes with another, he sees what little hope he has flying away.
Adrianna and Wyatt soon learn that they have more in common than two coins that collided. In fighting for the lives they lost, they must learn how to trust again. Only then will they discover that meeting each other might not be what they wished for, but exactly what they need.
(Each book in the Wish Series is a standalone story, but shares the common theme of wishes.)

Adrianne Caravello was the chef at Vincento’s in San Francisco. She was doing an excellent job and everyone expected her to be names Head Chef just any time. She was dating Will, the bartender, and it seems like it could be getting serious. Lindsey, one of the sous chefs, found a ring box in Will’s pocket when she pulled his jacket off the coat rack. She surmised that Will was going to ask Adrianne to marry him. Adrianne was not sure about that. When Will came to her after the restaurant closed, he said they needed to talk. Adrianne put him off by saying she promised the children some pizza. She stepped outside to give three homeless kids the pizza when she heard a shot. Knowing it was inside, she cautiously went back into the kitchen. When she got to the bar area, she saw Will on the floor in a pool of blood. He had been shot in the head and didn’t last long.
Inspector Wyatt Randall had spent the last two years looking for his ex-wife and daughter. She had kidnapped Stephanie while on a visitation. Then they totally disappeared. He got a break from a security camera and saw a little girl who looked somewhat like Stephanie. He decided to throw a coin in a fountain and as he did, it hit another coin in midair and knocked one of them into the fountain. Adrianne was the one who threw the other coin and the two met. Wyatt showed her the picture of the kids he was looking for and she recognized them as the ones she gave the pizza to. Thus, starts a hunt for the three kids, the kid’s mother, and Jennifer.
Can they find them?
Adrianna'a life was changed the moment her boyfriend was shot to death in a burglary at her restaurant. She was so traumatized that she was unable to return to work and was having nightmares. Months later, she is offered a job in that same restaurant that she has wanted for so long. Can she set her fears aside and go back into that place?
Wyatt also is in need of a miracle. His ex wife kidnapped their daughter and he has not seen her in 2 years. He is desperate to find her. A new lead gives him hope, but it quickly fades. When he stand in front of a wishing fountain, he sees what hope he had fly away as his coin clashes with another.
Adrianna and Wyatt have a good amount of things in common. Can they learn to trust so that they can join forces and get both their lives back on track?
I find this book well written. It speaks to new hope and love which is so timely for spring. I recommend this book for age 16 on up.
I loved this hero. He took a lot more responsibility for his marriage failure than I thought he deserved. No one held a gun to his ex-wife's head and made her take pills, or kidnap his child and go on the run with her, or leave her on the streets of San Francisco while she was out doing god's knows what. I was beyond delighted when he put her in jail!
The heroine has had a traumatic event in her life. They meet at a wishing fountain and even tho they do not believe in wishes coming true they decide to toss a coin in and make a wish anyway. I was afraid this was going to turn into one of those fairy tales where the good fairy grants the wish, etc. But it was not that at all. Two very troubled people meet and help each other to see their way to moving on with their lives. It was great how one's advice to the other came back to haunt them in dealing with their own issues. I LOVED this story. Great book and very entertaining read. I highly recommend it.

What can I say? Great story, great romance, great background story, some sex but sweet and discreet, happy ending that is somewhat 'plausible' (for a romance book).. Really enjoyed it! I'm going to look at more book from this author!

Now for the book: I like this book and found it an enjoyable easy read, the story is easy to follow and moving in places. The two main character are likeable although I'm not sure whether the death of the boyfriend is credible and I did feel that part of the story was a little flimsy, I also felt this book lacked that little bit of magic that the previous wish books have had. That said I did enjoy and will be looking out for any new ones by this author as I do enjoy reading her books.

Another great read. My advice will be to get all the 3 books in the wish series, they are so different and you don't need to read them in order.
This book had me in years a lot. I hope there are people in the world as good as Adrianna, by the end of the book I feel like I know her well.
Don't hesitate to buy this book, it is a winner.
