Here's the set-up:
White Jade is an action/adventure thriller, plain and simple. A brutal
murder and a missing two thousand year old book about the First Chinese
Emperor sends Selena Connor to the PROJECT, a small, elite black ops
unit that reports only to the President. There she meets Nick Carter, a
former Recon Marine with a lot of bad memories.
What begins as a
simple journey to recover the book turns into a series of life and
death confrontations for Nick and Selena. The plot winds from Washington
to California, to Beijing and the High Himalayas. Nick must confront
his emotional resistance to getting close to Selena, while Selena has
never been under fire or had people trying to kill her. It's a steep
learning curve for both of them.
At risk is America, China and the future of the world as we know it.
