Here’s the set-up:

In 1931, during its maiden voyage, the British Airship Goliath mysteriously disappears without a trace. Hidden deep inside is a secret that could change the world.

Present day, in The Philippines, an attempted kidnapping draws historian Jennifer March and former soldier Ryan Mitchell into a deadly race to find the Goliath before a mysterious figure who threatens to topple governments and the lives of millions. From Alaska, to West Africa to Iceland the hunt for the truth is on.

This book was a surprise to me. I started to read it a year ago, and for some reason didn’t continue. But I noticed it in my Kindle library a week or so ago, and decided to give it some more attention. I was rewarded by an adventure that I was not expecting at all. And I, a geography professor, had never heard of “eye of the Sahara”, so I looked it up. Sure enough it exists in the North African desert, and it sure resembles an ‘eye’.

Try Goliath. You’ll like it.” – Amazon Five Star Review

Lucifer’s Odyssey (Primal Patterns Book 1)

by Rex Jameson
3.9 stars – 51 reviews
Currently FREE for Amazon Prime Members
Text-to-Speech and Lending: Enabled
Here’s the set-up:

Imagine a war between angels and demons that extends across our universe. Now, think bigger. Imagine that the fight between Lucifer and Jehovah extends across not only our universe but also involves two more ancient universes filled with demons and elves.

The Lucifer’s Fall trilogy of the Primal Patterns series is the story of the most celebrated demon warrior and king in history, and the birth of a moral and intellectual renaissance in the Chaos Universe. The first book, “Lucifer’s Odyssey”, traces the demon prince Lucifer from his imprisonment by Jehovah on Earth to the betrayal of his parents in Chaos and a shaky alliance with the Elven people. Filled with irreverent humor and fast paced action, Lucifer’s Odyssey beckons you to take a journey through space and time into a story where elven technology meets the ruthlessness of the demon race and the potential of Jehovah’s great creations.

“Lucifer’s Odyssey” is the first book of the Lucifer’s Fall trilogy, and book one in the Primal Patterns series. The series continues with more personal views into the struggles of angels, elves and demons in “The Goblin Rebellion” and finishes with the apocalyptic final battle between Lucifer and Jehovah in “Shadows of Our Fathers”.

This Sixth Edition of Lucifer’s Odyssey includes a bonus chapter at the end that expands on the Primal Patterns story.

Author’s Note: For many readers, the context of this series involving Lucifer and Jehovah may be jarring. To better understand if this series is right for you, you may want to read my blog post which describes why the story of Lucifer and Jehovah are so different in this series.

They must unite in a desperate search through Anatole for the key to the survival of the Elves, but first they have to stay alive!

“Richard Turner’s “Goliath” is a fast-paced adventure novel that echoes some of Clive Cussler’s books. It, like Cussler’s books, has the same global reach though his characters don’t rely on quite as many gadgets” Michael B

“This was one of the best books I have read in months. it was full of action right from the very beginning until the very end. A fast and furious plot that involved the search for the Romanov jewels, stolen nuclear bombs, espionage, and romance. I felt it could rival the best and most famous authors of action/adventure, spy thrillers” Lynne.

Being retired military, I enjoyed reading this book very much. The dialog between an officer and non-commissioned officer in real life goes a lot like the author states here. A good NCO will make good Officers if the officers have the characteristics to become one. Mr. Turner must have a fair amount of military experience, or has researched this relationship a good bit.” – Amazon Five Star Review
