Scarab is a fast-paced entertaining read on a fascinating subject – quantum mechanics, with a dash of fanciful archeological intrigue, suspense, and some graphic content. The story traces the devastating effect of a secret code, found in a hidden chamber beneath the Sphinx of Giza, on the world’s first quantum computer chip – a chip, which exhibits a remarkable side effect: human-like consciousness.
I’ve always been fascinated by the idea of playfully mixing genres to sprinkle a sense of freshness and excitement in the stories we tell, and this has certainly been my intention here. Although I wrote Scarab some time back, and recently updated it for publication on kindle, the notion of multiple universes it draws on is very current. I find the subject endlessly intriguing and intend to revisit it in the future. Thank you for your support of independent writing.

Let’s see: I was born in Alexandria Egypt, grew up in Greece, lived and studied in South Africa and in London, taught screenwriting and digital media in Australia, have just completed a PhD in narrative studies, and have recently found creative freedom through publishing on amazon.com. I like stories of all sorts, but I especially love science fiction, horror, and thrillers or any mixture thereof. I’m also looking forward to being the first octogenarian on board that manned mission to Mars. As long as I can upload my next novel to Kindle from up there, that is.
