Here’s the set-up:

When Greg Louden is called in to investigate a theft of intellectual property at a software firm, he has no idea what is at stake. He never dreams that lines of code are things people will kill and die for. But after he stumbles upon a brutal murder in the past that links to the present he starts to believe it.

Who invented this program that calculates the future with godlike precision? How can it do what it does?

It won’t take Louden long to see that the man who knows what will happen tomorrow can take what he likes from today. If he happens to be a legendary figure on Wall Street with an obscure past, he can have it all as soon–as he eliminates the one man who stands in his way.

One Reviewer Notes
“Greg Louden, the narrator, finally has to harness the power of the Internet with the promise of redemption to force the violent conclusion of the novel. It’s a shocker, but one that fans of David Chacko–the author of twenty-some novels–will be expecting.”

About The Author

David Chacko has written twenty-one novels. Many are in the espionage and mystery genres with occasional outbreaks into common sense. He can usually be found in Istanbul or New York. The consistent factor here is that both places have good food, beautiful women, and memorable views of the sea.

One Reviewer Notes:
Hard times can breed hard crime. Some of it's very dark stuff. THE GOD APP starts out small with a case of purloined software, but moves quickly into a case of brutal murder in the past that throws a dark light on the present. When we find out that the wrong man was convicted of the murder, we know the right man will be found. The job seems impossible as the case moves on, because all the money in the world is involved. Moving through it is an off-beat police operative, Greg Louden. The way he manages to confront the hyper rich and guilty to bring justice home is one of the darkest things in the book. And strangely, the most satisfying. Highly recommended.
