Here's the set-up:
It all starts here. Her journey to a warrior. A champion, but Natalie doesn't know that yet.

She's the butt of everyone's jokes, the mockery of Meadow Creek High. She wants nothing more than to disappear into a day dream. Unaware that dream is about to become reality.

There she is the beautiful Slayer. A chosen warrior on a mission with faithful family and friends--everything Natalie could ever wish for. Everything that Natalie isn't.

But with a murder that reminds Natalie of a day dream she's had, she comes to realize the line between dream and reality are fading. With her family and friends unhinging from madness, Natalie is going to have to do something she's never done before.

Stand on her own two feet and face evil in the unflinching darkness.

In the tradition of young adult vampire fiction such as Twilight and Buffy the Vampire slayer, comes The Dream Slayer.
One Reviewer Notes:
I loved the dream and reality worlds that Jill Cooper developed. In reality a normal, overlooked, overweight female has an enormous burden on herself to do well and to make her parent's proud. The same girl goes to bed and dreams of an escape. What person doesn't dream of a world in which they are accepted and may be even revered. Jill just proves how powerful the mind can be and how creative should be nurtured! I loved the characters and their development. Ms. Cooper stays true to life yet adds the creative flare. If only our young minds could be convinced of their power!!!

About the Author
I could write this in the third person. I could tell you what I like, where I was born, and what my favorite things are.

But instead, I I could write this in the third person. I could tell you what I like, where I was born, and what my favorite things are. But instead, I'll say I don't want to write like everyone else. I don't want to craft stories you've read a thousand times before. I want my novels to be a cinematic experience, blending themes, genres, and situations unlike any you've ever read. I want to break the rules. I want you to break out in a cold sweat as you read my books out of fear, love, and excitement. I want my books to be an experience. When you finish, I want you to feel something. Good or bad. If you do, then I'll have succeeded. If not, I'll keep trying.
