Here's the set-up:
Tarot-medium Sophie Turner is back, and Boston is burning down around

When a graduate student dies in one of the fires, Sophie spots a ghost at the crime scene. She thinks the spirit is weak, but finds out differently as the ghost gets inside her head, luring her into its past life. This is a wonderful addition to the cozy mystery genre. Hunter's engaging writing style draws you into the continuation of Sophie Turner's life as she navigates the aftermath described in Past Tense (the first book in the series that's also a fun read but not necessary to enjoy this book). Sophie performs tarot readings at her shop, but her hidden gift is in seeing ghosts...except that gift seems to have deserted her. When an arson claims the life of a young woman, Sophie is drawn back into the darker side of her gifts, and the engaging twists and turns make turning pages a must. The book uses Boston's history-laden setting to its fullest advantage and in really surprising ways... The book engages the reader on multiple levels - intellectual, curiosity, and just enough romance to keep things interesting. It's the perfect read for a winter's night, a cup of hot cocoa...and a properly controlled fire. 😉
