Her unpublished novel, Mourning Dove, earned semi-finalist status in the 2012 Amazon Breakthrough Novel Award competition. Only 50 of 5,000 entries made it to this round. The Publishers Weekly review of Mourning Dove is available under BOOKS on Meg's website.
Meg teaches night school to transitioning adults, and hosts writing retreats at home. She enjoys her Golden Retrievers, gardening, and getaways.

I really enjoyed this story. It was very well written, and realistic. The story is about a teenage girl, Tess, who must learn to accept the fact that her mother is going to marry a man who has a daughter one year younger than Tess. Tess' dad only died one year ago, and the story is about how she reacts, adapts, and ultimately accepts her new step-family. It seemed extremely realistic regarding the trials a young girl may go through during this ordeal. Very likable characters, and humorous writing. I would definitely recommend this!
