Here’s the set-up:

DIVE INTO THIS ACTION-PACKED HEROISM TALE

Lies are harmless, really…unless someone believes them, ingests them, digests them, then those lies can be lethal. The lies metastasize, and spread like a virus consuming everyone in a room, on a street corner, in a city, a country, and finally the world.

Adolf Hitler was very good at many things. A dynamic speaker, a messianic personality, builder of really good roads. But his ultimate talent, the thing that set him apart, was his ability to lie. Lies that a nation was willing and eager to hear.

Long before Kristallnacht (Night of Broken Glass) in November 1938, Hitler had, through his lies, planted the seeds that would lead to concentration camps. And ovens.

But by 1943, Nazi leadership knew the war was lost. Soon, their dream of a thousand year 3rd Reich would end. So, they prepared for a 4th Reich, established in an American desert.

A 4th Reich would require planning, execution and most importantly gold. What the 4th Reich did not plan for was an American bum named Lester Jones. He had fought the Germans in WW I, and never liked them all that much. In a cavern in an Arizona desert, Lester fought his own war with the Nazis. It wasn’t a fair fight.

Here’s the set-up:

They say he’s so grumpy that he never speaks. He only growls.

I’m not intimidated. My boss sent me to deep backwoods Vermont to get Garland McGrumpypants—I mean McGuinty, to sell some of his lucrative landholdings on Silver Mountain. And I NEED this commission.
McGrumpy only likes kids, animals, and his giant axe… he definitely doesn’t like me.
When our meeting goes horribly wrong, and an avalanche causes my car to be nearly crushed under a pile of snow… I’m rescued by the massive hermit himself. No cell service, no road access, no escape. I am STUCK with Grumpy, and this Christmas couldn’t get any worse!

Garland

Her name is Ava, and she’s the unluckiest woman I’ve ever met. She spills every drink she touches all over herself, she trips over her shadow… and somehow, when she comes around, the whole mountain falls apart.
So why do I have a strange urge to protect her and take care of her?
Damn this crazy woman. She will be the death of me.

A sweet and steamy holiday romance with a guaranteed HEA! Slow burn, over the top, laugh out loud romantic comedy.

Here’s the set-up:

Four years ago, firefighter Caleb Romero saved a child and met the woman of his dreams. But trauma killed the timing, so he’s contented himself with being the friend she needed as she navigated sudden parenthood.

Four years ago, Emerson Aldridge became a mom in the worst possible way. Without qualm, she abandoned her own dreams to shepherd her teenage daughter through their shared grief. Her number one priority has been to raise Fiona the way her best friend would have wanted.

Now Fi’s headed off to college and Emerson has no idea how to feel about her suddenly empty nest. She barely even remembers life before motherhood, but Caleb’s right next door to give her a reminder—along with a toe-curling kiss that catapults them past friends and into something more. The life she wanted before the accident is still within reach. He just has to convince her that their age difference means nothing.

Piece of cake. Right?
