A three word text from my father sent me and my sisters scrambling for home. When we arrived he wasn’t there. Instead we found him at the home of the woman rumored to have been his secret lover for years.

Turned out, it wasn’t my dad or the mysterious widow who wrecked our lives that day. The cliched man in black did that.
