In a single night, everyone has vanished. Only Sophie remains, a typical seventeen year old girl from Oregon. Sophie’s recently developed empathy to one of the new creatures, something that resembles both a firefly and a pixie, will guide her in her burgeoning role as both protector and protagonist in a startling newborn period.
