WINNER OF THE FALL 2015 PINNACLE BOOK ACHIEVEMENT AWARD
The Girl in Red Pajamas (Pajama Trilogy Book 3)
by Chris Birdy
Here’s the set-up:
The Girl in Red Pajamas begins when two lesbians have a smack down in a Boston restaurant. After one is found dead stuffed in the back of the other’s SUV, their families line up and point fingers. Tensions mount as relatives question religious beliefs, and the police gather evidence to build a case against the survivor. Bogie McGruder becomes deeply involved in the investigation because one woman is his sister and the other, his old girlfriend. This third book in the Pajamas Trilogy brings the series to a glorious end.
Reviews:
“This is the third part of an amazing series. This book can also be read as a stand alone, having said that I highly recommend readers check out the whole series. Chris Birdy does an amazing job with the series and this book also is a must read. Follow Bogie McGruder as his life is once again turned upside down, this time a murder hits close to home, when Delores Peabody is killed and the person accused is Bogie’s sister Ann McGruder. The author does a wonderful job with the twists and turns in this mystery and yes, Isabella is back and as rambunctious as ever as she gets ready to turn five. The author knows how to write stories readers pick up and can’t put down until the last fascinating page is turned. I read this was the finale of the series, but am looking forward to maybe a new set? I can only hope as an avid fan the books will continue.” – Amazon Reviewer
“Laugh out Loud Funny, this book is an amazing read! This is one of those books that you just don’t want to end! When I saw the pages slowly getting fewer and fewer to the end, and my percentage read, slowly going up, I was getting sad, however, it’s just one of those books you just can’t seem to put down!
While this book IS a part of a series, it can also be read as a stand alone. The characters all work well together and the twists and turns keep the anticipation high. As dysfunctional as this group of family and friends is, I think I’d fit right in. Isabela is one of the smartest little 4 years olds that I’ve ever “met”, maybe even a little too smart for her own good! I would love to see this author do a series about how she turns out when she gets older. It can only be just as good!” – Amazon Reviewer
