Here's the set-up:
For fans of Harlan Coben, James Patterson, and Michael Connelly...Any father's worst nightmare. A knock on the door in the middle of the night. A police detective tells you your daughter's been found beaten to death and left in the Red Run Drain. When you go to tell your son, he's missing. Evidence links your son to the killing. What will you do to prove your son's innocence? Will you sacrifice your own? Red Run is a 75,000-word dark crime novel that explores a father's efforts to protect his family from his own past.
One Reviewer Notes:
Red Run was a great read, and I found it difficult to put down. Just when I felt I'd figured out the plot, there would be another twist, which kept me guessing through the entire story. The characters were crafted so that they felt very real, and the descriptions placed the reader squarely in the middle of the action. At times this could be almost brutal. I do need to put in a warning here about language ... this book is not written for the faint-of-heart or the prudish. The ending was a surprise because I was certain I'd figured out how the story would conclude. Boy, was I wrong! My heart raced through the book, right to the last sentence. I would not hesitate to read anything written by Rob Cornell in the future.
