About The Author
Even during law school, I loved to write fiction. I’ve always been a writer. I can’t imagine my life without writing. Then, about ten years ago, I began to get more serious about writing novel-length fiction. Like waffles, the first few didn’t turn out so well. No worries, folks, these stories will never see the light of day.
Then my third try was with a character named Michael Collins. Everyone has a moment in their life when they want to drop-out, sell all of their belongings, and live on a beach…I know I did. So, that was the concept behind the legal thrillers featuring Michael Collins.
Prompted by my wife, I submitted the first book in the series to the National Legal Writing Competition for Lawyers. And, it won. I did additional editing, changed the title to “No Time To Run” and now it’s been an Amazon Top 100 legal thriller since September 2011.
I think that there is always going to be a tension between the life you want and the life you have. We have a picture in our minds of the perfection, but the real world always interferes. That’s what Michael Collins struggles with, although in a far more dramatic fashion. I hope these books provide a fun read for people seeking a smart escape (but not too smart).
