This fast-paced and dramatic sequel to G.M. Rogers’ Due North is set in the small town of Iron Bay, where as the book opens the tough but traumatized heroine Madison Reynolds is recovering from her assault at the hands of Dane Buckman. Dane is a predatory, power-hungry rapist, and in this twisted and steamy erotic thriller we see him transform from a “bad boy” into a truly dangerous sociopath who gets his thrills from hunting and abusing women. Dane also has Madison’s family’s treasured compass in his hands—but will it lead him to destruction?
Due North—Misdirected is the story of how one young woman regains her strength and finds love amidst life-shattering events.
G. M. Rogers gets her inspiration from her many life experiences. She’s an avid reader of Science Fiction and horror novels and has several plots and stories in the works. For many years she had been planning to write a book, though she imagined it would be in the genre of Science Fiction. Some how she found herself falling into the world of this twisted romance. Her first novel, Due North has dark undertones reflecting the influence of her authors of choice such as Stephen King and Gillian Flynn.
Although G.M. Rogers was born and raised in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula she has spent several years living abroad and recently returned to the North Woods where she now resides with her husband and her three children. She feels she has had the best of both worlds in the sense that she has home town roots and the grounded authenticity of pure northern living, as well as the experience of having lived in diverse places in the world. She has made her home beneath whispering pine trees, alongside European Alps, under flashing neon signs and among the tropical breezes.
