In the high crime era of 1980’s New York City, David is trying to survive his senior year of high school.
He longs for a relationship with Delancey, a girl he believes to be out of his league. He pursues her while fending off his classmates’ advances. David must survive street gangs, the crime on the subways, and still find a way to study for the SATs and graduate. And yet his undecided about college, a career, and his musical talents. His indecision and regrets keep holding him back.
But what about the school prom? Can he get the girl of his dreams to go with him or does he lose her forever?
Based on the classic Greek myth of Orpheus, the story is complete with mythological references, clues along the way, and an out of this world supernatural journey that will leave the reader wanting more.
