(Ed. Note: Turkeys are great for Thanksgiving and lemons will help you make lemonade, but they’re not what you want when you’re looking for a great read.

That’s where Red Adept comes in. She reads tons of Kindle books, and she really reads them. Then she breaks them down for us in nicely structured reviews and sometimes even takes the extra step of sharing an author interview. I have been following her blog for over a year and I find it one of the most valuable sources of information about good reading anywhere on the web … or on my Kindle. Let me be clear about this: there aren’t a lot of Kindle blogs that I would recommend, but Red Adept Reviews is at the top of my list.  -S.W.)

Here’s the set-up for Red Adept Reviews:
In-depth reviews of Commercial and Indie e-books in many genres. Also includes:
Author Commentary and Interviews, Articles on writing, publishing, etc., Some
Free Short Stories, Freebie Alerts, and more!

With Amazon’s publishing format, “anyone” can publish. These reviews will help
you make selection that you will enjoy by breaking the review down into
categories: Plot/Storyline, Character Development, Writing Style, and
Editing/Formatting (as needed). Each section is rated to help you choose books
with characteristics you enjoy.

Have you discovered Kindle Blogs? Among over 10,000 available blogs, there are a few like Red Adept Reviews and Kindle Nation Daily that are written with the greatest readers in the world in mind:

  • Kindle Blogs are auto-delivered wirelessly to your Kindle and updated throughout the day so you can stay current.
  • It’s risk free—all Kindle Blog subscriptions start with a 14-day free trial. You can cancel at any time during the free trial period. If you enjoy your subscription, do nothing and it will automatically continue at the regular monthly price.
  •  Kindle blogs are fully downloaded onto your Kindle so you can read them even when you’re not wirelessly connected. And unlike RSS readers which often only provide headlines, blogs on Kindle give you full text content and images, and are updated wirelessly throughout the day.
Here’s what some other Kindle owners are saying about Red Adept Reviews:

5.0 out of 5 stars Good Solid Reviews – Not Fluff

If you’re a reader looking for good honest reviews with thoughtful detail, Red gives hard-hitting reviews that tell you everything you need to know about buying a book. I like that she takes on indie authors because it is so hard to know what you are buying in this field. I think it gives good authors credibility and struggling authors somewhere to start working on their manuscripts. A four star rating is good for this reviewer.

If you’re an author looking for automatic 5-star reviews, go elsewhere. I wanted to put in this review because I knew that some disgruntled authors would try to badmouth this reviewer. Good reviewers are both loved and hated by authors.

Patricia Lamoree “Author and Passionate Reader”
5.0 out of 5 stars Quality, honest book reviews from a trusted source
As a reader, Red understands the importance of an informed opinion. This is especially so since readers have never had so many books to choose from before.

To those who are familiar with her work, Red has made a name for herself by providing consumers with honest and discerning feedback about the books she reads. Red Adept’s Kindle Book Review Blog is her vehicle to get her reviews to as many people as possible. Her goal? To help readers make informed decisions about potential books.

With the onslaught of books being published by both traditional and independent presses, her blog is a much needed public service. Now that technology has made it possible that anyone with access to the internet can publish a book, more than ever before, consumers need a place that they can go to help them wade through a limitless sea of books in order to find the ones that fits their taste. In this difficult economy where people are especially careful about how and where they spend their money, a blog such as the one Red has created is an invaluable resource.

As far as I am concerned, Red’s blog has arrived just in the nick of time. Readers everywhere will be in good hands with Red Adept’s Kindle Book Review Blog. Whether you agree with her reviews or not, you can trust that her opinion will be clear and well stated. That kind of honesty is worth far more than the price of her blog.

Kevis Hendrickson

5.0 out of 5 stars Fair and Honest
Miss Adept is exactly that. Fair and honest. She will give you her professional assessment. Readers are unique and may see books in a different light than a reviewer, so ultimately it is up to the readers themselves to form their own opinions. But Miss Adept is there to guide the way and give you a little insight when you are pondering that next ‘great read’. –Maureen Miller “Author”
