Set during the Great Depression, Class Collision: Fall From Grace will transport you to a simpler time filled with heartache and unexpected love…
Here’s the set-up for Annette Mackey’s sweet college romance:
What if you didn’t know your boyfriend was worth millions?
Born to wealth and privilege, ten-year-old David, arguably the most spoiled, obnoxious kid alive, finds his greatest enjoyment tormenting the maid. That is… until he is kidnapped for ransom and left for dead.
Thrown into a world he knows nothing about, he spends the next several years in an orphanage where his claims to fame and fortune only fuel years of torment. Finally, he escapes, hoping to make it back home.
Instead, he meets Linda. Having lived among boys for so long, he doesn’t know how to handle his feelings for her. She is both irritating and intoxicating. Not that it matters. With looks like hers, every boy in the county is chasing her, and David, with his scraggly clothes and long hair doesn’t stand a chance. Then, when circumstances push them together, they both find that sometimes, people aren’t always what they seem.

The Reviewers Said:
The book is obviously written to a younger audience, and I am in my 80’s. Nevertheless, I found that it held my attention. I loved the setting in the Depression era. That’s when I grew up so that part of it was endearing to me. I look forward to the sequel with great anticipation.–Margaret Williams.
I was so OBSESSED with this book and absolutely loved it!!!!!! Ms. Mackey brillantly plotted this book and I was up to the wee hours of the night because I couldn’t put it dow
…..was caught up with the characters of this story within the first few pages. The intensity of the personalities of each character grew with the turn of each page. I found myself reading at a fast pace so I could be involved with the next experience that would surface.
The story line became an emotion. I felt, angry, joy, saddness, despair, excitement, hate, fear, happiness, sympathy, and so many other feelings. The characters become family and I wanted the best for them.
Satisfying teen romance novel with a bit of history! I absolutely adored this book. The relationships between each character are really strong. Linda and Davids romance was my favorite part of the book,it left me wanting more, to find out what happens next. I can’t wait for the next book in this exciting new series!
Fates can have fun with us all. “Class Collision” is a unique love story of Linda and David………..a fun read with a bit of fable thrown in.
To call Class Collision and romance novel is the same as calling Jodi Picoult’s work chic-lit. It’s far more than just a good love story…..unforgettable characters who come to life on the page through their complex emotions and growth throughout the book.
Class Collision: Phoenix Rising continues where Fall From Grace leaves off. Most reviewers said they couldn’t wait for the conclusion, which is now available in the Kindle Store.
From the Author’s web site:
I love to write. Whether it’s music or stories, I’ve never been bored because my brain is always working a mile a minute. There is so little time to get everything done! If only I could write as fast as I think.
I love being a Mom. There are times when you want to pull your hair out, but nothing compares to the absolute unity of a family.
Though I might search the world over, my favorite people will always be the ones with whom I have shared a roof, past or present. Kids are loyal and strong. If only I could learn to be a kid again.
