Here’s the set-up:
Samuel Bailey’s obsession with serial killers and dead bodies began in his early teens, but he didn’t act on it until he was twenty. That was fifteen years ago. In a small, central California town, the local police and the families are baffled by the murders and disappearances of several residents of the Sun River Senior Apartments. The only clue, a crow’s feather left at the victim’s front door. Late one night, resident, Linda Carlton was awakened by noises outside her window. When she looked out, she was shocked to see the assistant manager, Samuel Bailey, dragging a body across the courtyard. She hoped he hadn’t seen her, but the next morning, she found a feather by her door. The terrified woman knew she had to get out before she became his next victim. Unfortunately, he came up with a plan to prevent her from leaving, and to make sure no one there would ever find out about his murderous deeds.
