Here's the set-up:
A genuine and rarefied glance into the world of vivisection

A significant contribution to animal ethics discourse

“For over twenty years, my friends at the laboratory were mainly white and black mice, there were also gray mice and rats and a few rabbits. I consider them my friends because I truly loved them all and it is beyond my understanding how in my own two hands, without a flinch or hesitation, and without even being able to think of another possible way, I had caused them all such suffering.”

This is a unique and rare candid account of a vivisector who, after a long career in vivisection, had decided to break the wall of silence and courageously tells the story of lab animals that intertwines with her own life story.

The author is a former vivisector who, for over twenty years, had practiced animal experimentation for the sake of science.

MouseStruck is a true account unfolding the process of the author crossing the lines after contracting cancer following many years of participating in the research to find a cure for this class of diseases, and a sincere attempt to comprehend the vivisection act.
One Reviewer Notes:
Science has done some amazing things for Humankind. We have cured diseases, increased our life span and made advancements that would be considered mythical or even Godlike in days of old. Those accomplishment, as revolutionary as they are, have come at a price. Not all of them, but enough of them that the cost has scared souls and resulted in a body count few have considered – that of lab animals. Enter Ita Stein Gvirtzman’s “Mouse Struck,” an emotional, first-person memoir of the soulful kind. Courageous and open, this book chronicles the life and times of a vivisectionist, and the small rodent lives that were lost. Sad, hopeful and thought provoking.

About the Author
Ita Stein Gvirtzman was born in 1949, in Poland, to a family of Holocaust survivors who immigrated to Israel. Since her early twenties and over a period of two decades, the author has established a career as a vivisector. During that time she gave birth to her three children and navigated the demanding daily routine between her role as a mother and homemaker and her professional mission at the research laboratory to find a cure for cancer.

She had just turned 40 when she was diagnosed with cancer, the disease she was relentlessly researching, commencing a year-long treatment of chemotherapy and radiation. However this challenge only served to empower her both mentally and emotionally leading to the awakening of her suppressed conscience, acknowledging her long-awaited criticism of the vivisection method.

While struggling to save her own life, the author realized that she could no longer overlook the strong inner conflict between the act of vivisection and issues of moral values, ethics and humaneness. She dedicated the following years to further exploring the various existing approaches towards vivisection as a student at the Department of Humanities. In her academic papers she discusses applicable solutions to reduce the scope of vivisection practice towards abandoning it completely.

Acknowledging the need to raise public awareness she willingly shares her personal experience as a vivisector, becoming an advocate for those animals whose lives are at stake. Expressing her views at public gatherings and protests as well as at various discussions at the Israeli parliament the author diligently emphasizes the available alternatives defending animal rights.

MouseStruck was written to send this message across with the hope that it will bring forward the liberation of laboratory animals. Here's the set-up:
A young man is found unconscious in a park in London. He has no injuries, no illnesses. Weeks later, the doctors still can’t explain why he hasn’t regained consciousness. A detective, a homeless man and a writer try to find answers to the questions surrounding him.

A widely traveled elderly man by the name of Martin Ritter is working on his memoirs. As a restless young man, he had left home at the age of nineteen. The decades that followed were dominated by emotional uncertainties. Did he surrender to them? Did he find what he had been searching for?
About half way through the book, the young man and the elderly man meet under extraordinary circumstances – they “collide”, may be a better word – and seemingly unanswerable questions emerge.

The Mysterious Man is a major novel that encompasses three genres: literary fiction, mystery and memoirs.
One Reviewer Notes:
This is a novel, with an autobiographical ring, that has very much a James Joyce flavor of Ulysses to it. This is not one of those short Kindle books just meant to sell as a quick and amusing read. It is an in depth revelation of character and personal story and it will take more than a day to read it due to its length (300 plus pages). The reader is taken to many places and times which are not necessarily in chronological order, but like the writing of Gabriel Garcia Marquez that doesn't matter, and Fred Schafer's book has a similar magical quality about it. It all comes together at the end.
Franklin Deverell
About the Author
Fred Schäfer was born in the south of Germany and left home at the age of nineteen. A few years later he discovered the world of literature.

Two of his books, "The Short and Wonderful Life of Henry Hemingway" and "Travelling with Maria", provide insight into the early years of his life. "The Mysterious Man" completes the picture, although not entirely, because "The Mysterious Man" is a novel, not an autobiography. Or is it both? A book in which reality and fiction merge?

At the age of thirty six, the author and his family moved to Australia, where they still reside. He worked as an engineer and IT manager. He became a professional speaker and made himself a name as presenter of Think Like A Winner seminars. During those years, he wrote two nonfiction books: "The Solution Within Yourself" and "Success, Money and You". A few years later he published the essence of his seminars in his third nonfiction book, "How to Make Great Things Happen in YOUR LIFE".

Collection of true stories

Written by real people

People Speak is a collection of true stories written by real people about their own lives, collected by popular writer and editor Rabbi Chaim Walder, bestselling author of the series Kids Speak.

Rabbi Walder's storytelling prowess continues to take us on a journey into people's live, painting for us a vivid picture of their hardship as well as their triumphs. These real life stories have been hand selected from the multitude of letters that fill Rabbi Walder's post-office box, each for the meaningful message it conveys and the life lessons to be learned from it.

The People Speak series has been translated into six languages and has captured the hearts of hundreds of thousands of people the world over for its unique ability to retell people's life stories in an incredibly touching manner. This is the 4th book in the series.
One Reviewer Notes:
Walder definitely stole my heart with the many stories that have been compiled in this book. Each story is told by a different person who has experienced trials in their life, but found a way to overcome. I would not say this is a religious book, but it does lead one to believe, there is certainly a higher power. The people telling the stories often use Hebrew, Yiddish, and other languages when speaking, but the terms that I did not know where easy to understand with help from the glossarry. Anyone who enjoys reading books where every chapter has a different meaning or twist, should grab this book. I promise you will not want to put it down.

Here's the set-up:
Is Humanity Ready for the Passage into the Golden Age?

From Material Masonry to Spiritual Masonry

The Knowledge of the Gods describes the spiritual growth of a woman who managed to awaken as a result of the hardships she experienced in her life. Because of her experiences, she decided to make a sacrifice - to sacrifice herself for the benefit of the people around her as well as for the benefit of humanity. Her willingness to make the sacrifice came from her aspiration to see all the people of the world live in peace, love and harmony.

Because of her belief that sacrifice can assist in the fulfillment of her aspirations, she turned to God and asked him to accept her sacrifice. She asked to give up her life for the benefit of others.

Not long after that, the author of this book developed the ability to conduct channeling. Gradually, the level of her spiritual guides rose, according to the level of knowledge and spiritual awareness she accumulated. Her continued sacrifice and progression in knowledge caused the angels and higher gods to connect with her.

The high gods of light began to offer her their knowledge. They wanted to assist her in achieving her spiritual destiny. Through her, they wished to pass on their knowledge and science. The gods asked her to write a book and through that book, to offer their knowledge to all the people of Earth.

With the aid of channeling, a connection was established with the gods of light from the Egyptian era, especially with the Gods Amun-Ra and Michael, who reached the spiritual level of the creator; thanks to their knowledge.

The high gods of light, as you will read in the book, passed their knowledge and information during numerous channeling sessions, through journeys and fascinating experiences from different eras of life on Earth and other planets. Meetings were held in all those places, with people who had lived in various eras. Those people and the gods themselves passed on their information through personal stories taken from their own lives. The God Amun taught about the masonry and architecture of his time, as well as about how the universe itself is constructed. Also, he explained what needs to be done in order to change current material masonry into spiritual masonry. The God Amun taught the knowledge of masonry with the aid of diagrams, symbols, numeric calculations and more... during many different journeys.
One Reviewer Notes:
This book was quite interesting in how it perceives spirituality and "The gods". The ideas and content are very different from what the 'Mainstream' is today. Despite this, I related very well to a lot of things in the story. The story describes a spiritual journey through a narrative. To me, I liked the format of the book because I believe that spirituality is developed over time on an individual level rather than the dogma of religious institutions. I don't really want to ruin the story, so I'll just say that this book changed how I look at things on a spiritual level and I would reccomend it to somebody who wants something very different.
