Here's the set-up:
SEXY ROMANTIC ADVENTURE

Having a top spy for a father has its benefits--Grace O'Connor can out-think and outsmart most people--and its downside--her secret must remain one. But that had never stopped her from getting into trouble. That is, after all, the nickname her father gave her.

Taking an intern job at GNE for the summer at DC, she soon finds out the agency for which she works provides more than translation services. GNE sends out "recorders" to events of interest for the purpose of gathering and selling information. It doesn't take long before Grace is involved in the middle of a chase for an important list of corrupt politicians. Or maybe there's more to that because every spy agency seems to be after it too, including the arrogant and sexy Lance Mercy.

Mercy, top COS commando, has been brought in to 1) extract a Chinese dissident with information about some weaponry stolen from the US and 2) catch the mole among them. Everything seems to be running smoothly until the appearance of that confounding woman who might or might not be an enemy. He has never met someone quite like Grace O'Connor--seemingly too young, incredibly sexy, and absolutely up-to-neck in the thick of this crazy business.

Nuns on the run, odd Chinese words, double agents, dangerous daddy, non-aligned ghosts, three grains of rice, plus an assortment of spy games--falling in love would just be tempting trouble.
One Reviewer Notes:
If you are fan of Gennita's, then Tempting Trouble is a must! If you are a fan of romantic susupense, then Tempting Trouble is a must! If you are just a fan of great stories and great writing, then Templting Trouble is a must!

Here's the set-up:
Attempting to avoid the violence and drugs at Hibernia High, sixteen-year-old Tristen McCoy and his friends have transferred on a sports scholarship to the elite Curtis Hall boarding school. Hometown lacrosse heroes, the boys are tested as they attempt to assimilate into a student body where excelling is the norm.

Tristen hones his leadership skills and sense of humor while finding his way in this new environment. He and his friends must rise to the challenge of competing with peers whose skills equal and perhaps surpass their own. Tristen’s attention is soon captured by the beautiful and alluring Marcella Venier. Despite their different origins and upbringings, the two are drawn to each other. Marcella, compelled to live a clandestine life with dark secrets and a covert research mission, struggles with her desire to further her own designs and still remain in Tristen’s world.

Events spiral out of control, and a student is lost in the subterranean tunnels beneath the school’s campus. Tristen and his friends stand accused of foul play, and in an effort to make things right, he enlists Marcella’s help in organizing a search party. During the perilous rescue attempt, danger threatens to not only sever the bonds of friendship of the group, but take their lives as well. They hope they can survive until graduation.
One Reviewer Notes:
This book was fantastic! I could not put it down loved the format and writing style. I could relate to almost all of the characters and could not believe the plot twists!

Here's the set-up:
Laila Levin enjoys a successful marriage and a thriving career as an I.T. executive in Austin, Texas, but she can't quite shake her lifelong sense of not truly belonging anywhere.

When her company announces a major layoff, Laila finds herself caught between an unscrupulous CEO and her promiscuous boss. Then news of her college roommate's suicide stirs up a dark secret involving three devious friends from her past. One has betrayed a vow, another wants to rekindle their romance, and the third is out for revenge.

Suddenly for Laila, it's 1969 again. She's only seventeen, and she's left her sheltered home in Long Island for college in Connecticut. Amid protests of the Vietnam War, she's tempted by the sex, drugs, and rock 'n' roll that rule her generation. Laila gets swept up in a deceptive love triangle with two older locals and initiated into their unethical hippie family. Too late she realizes her search to belong has led to tragedy.

Laila must now juggle the demands of her perplexed husband and her baby boomer past forcing her to make choices that endanger her survival and challenge her conscience.

She learns that the lines between right and wrong are often blurred, and sometimes you have to risk everything to be true to yourself.
One Reviewer Notes:
In Reznik's debut novel, a woman confronts long-buried secrets when an old college friend commits suicide. . . . While effective as a page turner, the novel also tells a timeless, universal tale of a woman's journey toward self-acceptance. An exciting tale of past crimes and dangerous friendships.

Here's the set-up:
Master storyteller Lee Fullbright weaves three unique voices together in her award-winning psychological mystery about consequences. The Angry Woman Suite is a rare and bold novel; a heartbreaking, hopeful marvel.

"They need to be exercised, hearts do ... to keep them strong."

Every family has skeletons, but the Grayson family has more than its share of secrets--and of portraits. Mystery portraits that incite and obscure. Portraits to die for.

An unsolved celebrity double murder in Pennsylvania. A girl looking for autonomy. A young man in search of an identity. An older man's quest for justice.

A plot that pulls and twists.
One Reviewer Notes:
A special read ... a very gifted writer, like a seasoned classic composer. So great is the writing, it's worth the read just for that, but then Fullbright brings in story, rich in character, and descriptions that bring you home, with scenes that flow one into the other, even in divergent times, decades apart--and it all works, and works so well that I'm going to read it again and then put Lee Fullbright's The Angry Woman Suite on the shelf along with Maugham's The Razor's Edge and Steinbeck's Grapes of Wrath.

In a climax of supreme intensity, Connie comes face-to-face with a serial murder that is more vicious then even she can imagine. The book ends well but with cliff hanging events on all sides.

Here's the set-up:
Detective Connie Giannelli's life has been torn apart several times. First when her mother died and then years later when she found out her Uncle Dominic was in the mob. Her life is about to be shredded again, and this time it could destroy her.

Connie’s love of family and her badge are both threatened when an undercover drug bust leaves two cops dead and the drugs missing. Internal Affairs is looking for any excuse to take her badge, but she’s not worried about them finding the missing drugs—her secrets could prove to be far worse.

Now Connie’s racing against the clock to figure out who killed her partners and took the drugs—dirty cops or Uncle Dominic’s friends. And she has to do it before IA pins the whole damn thing on her.
One Reviewer Notes:
Giacomo Giammatteo moves easily between Connie's experiences, narrated in the first person, and a third-person narrative style. One might think this would confuse the plot, but it does not: A Bullet for Carlos moves along swiftly, and nothing is lost in tense or translation. The result is a riveting murder mystery that concurrently reveals absorbing interactions between characters and killer alike. Any murder mystery and detective story fan will find this an intriguing story filled with satisfyingly unexpected twists and turns and plenty of psychological insights.

About the Author
I live in Texas now, but I grew up in Cleland Heights, a mixed ethnic neighborhood in Wilmington, Delaware that sat on the fringes of the Italian, Irish and Polish neighborhoods. The main characters of Murder Takes Time grew up in Cleland Heights and many of the scenes in the book were taken from real-life experiences.

Somehow I survived the transition to adulthood, but when my kids were young I left the Northeast and settled in Texas, where my wife suggested we get a few animals. I should have known better; we now have a full-blown animal sanctuary with rescues from all over. At last count we had 41 animals--12 dogs, a horse, a three-legged cat and 26 pigs.

Oh, and one crazy--and very large--wild boar, who takes walks with me every day and happens to also be my best buddy.

Since this is a bio some of you might wonder what I do. By day I am a headhunter, scouring the country for top talent to fill jobs in the biotech and medical device industry. In the evening I help my wife tend the animals, and at night--late at night--I turn into a writer. Here's the set-up:
WHAT IF YOU KILLED SOMEONE...ONLY DIDN'T KNOW IT?

After a weekend-long crack binder, Dave, a washed-up track star turned high school volleyball coach, awakes to find his Volkswagen smashed in with scratches of another vehicle's paint all along the metal. Rather than stopping to reflect on the situation, he hightails it to his dealer's house, where he scores enough crack to kill a small elephant.

A couple drinks and a few hits later, Dave is behind the wheel of a school bus packed with a bunch of hormone-raging teenagers. He doesn't get very far before the state troopers pull him over and arrest him for driving under the influence.

But the courts go easy on him. Thanks to some fancy footwork by his lawyer wife, Cheryl, Dave gets off with 90 days mandatory treatment at a secluded drug rehab in the Rocky Mountains. There, he meets a young alcoholic named Monty, grieving over the death of his girlfriend, who was killed in a hit-and-run only a week earlier.

When Monty shares intimate details of the accident that killed his girlfriend, memories begin to unfold of a crash Dave caused while blinded by crack and alcohol. As the details gel with increasing probability, Dave can't help but wonder if he was the driver responsible.
One Reviewer Notes:
What sets Andrew's novel apart from other recovery stories is his deep understanding of the physiochemical aspects of substance abuse and addiction. Seaward not only understands the socioeconomic, psychological and, yes, criminal impact these people create, he also displays such a profound understanding of the physiological/medical aspects of addiction that we are left to wonder if he hasn't been down the path of his characters himself.
