About the Author
I have my mother to thank for my love of reading in general and romance in particular. She read probably a dozen books a week (television was not a big part of my childhood, you can tell) and every month, a box of the newest Harlequin Presents arrived in the mail. I began reading romance books around the age of 12 (much too early). Julia Gabriel is my romance pen name because I teach writing at a university in New England--knowing the professor pens steamy romance novels on the side would be an unnecessary classroom distraction, I think! I hold a master's degree in creative writing and am an award-winning short story author under my "other" name.
