The warm reception given to her first novel PORTAL – originally meant only for her young daughter – encouraged Rose to continue with the story and the Portal Chronicles. Book two (Equilibrium) and book three (Quantum) have now been followed by book four, Momentum. Faustine is Imogen’s first book in her new series, the Bonfire Chronicles.

” For Portal fans, this is another adventure with twists and turns that keeps you guessing. It was a fabulous and quick read… Imogen Rose is an extremely talented author…

–Allie-Kat

Here’s the set-up:

“Today is the day my crush, David, will finally ask me to the Ball…”

California teen Arizona Darley feels the buzz of an exciting day ahead as she rushes to Starbucks to meet David. Her David.

But he’s a no-show. Crushed, Arizona leaves the coffee shop and walks straight into trouble. Her life is turned upside down when she is thrown into the middle of yet another of Raj’s schemes. Wanderers, Sigma-W-Pi, what is everyone talking about? And what’s up with Kellan?

This is the fourth book of the Portal Chronicles, a YA paranormal time travel fantasy.

One Reviewer Notes:

“In the fourth installment of the Portal Chronicles writer Imogen Rose takes us deeper into the complexities of the portal and inter dimentional travel. With yet another personality joining the cast of characters, we are introduced to the complications that can develop when we mess with the dimentions of time and space. Rose also delves deeper into the world of the Wanderers. While Momentum moves the story significantly forward it is clear that Imogen Rose is not done with her story, which is great for her fans. She has created a world that has so much to offer and is not afraid to explore and embellish as she shares that world with her readers.

–New Girl

“It is no easy thing for a new author to create a character to whom the reader is immediately drawn, and who can carry off a storyline of this size and scope. Suzanne Adair has done that here.”

Spinetingler magazine

Here’s the set-up:

In early June 1780, the village of Alton, Georgia, is rocked by the triple murder of the town printer and one of his associates, both outspoken patriots, and a Spanish assassin. Alton’s redcoats are in no hurry to seek justice for the murdered men. The printer and his buddies have stirred up trouble for the garrison. But the printer’s widowed daughter, Sophie Barton, wants justice for her father. Under suspicion from the redcoats, Sophie sets out on a harrowing journey to find the truth about her father — a journey that plunges her into a hornet’s nest of terror, treachery, and international espionage.

One Reviewer Notes:

“Suzanne Adair’s debut novel is a powerful story of a strong, independent woman caught up in the events of the American Revolution against her will. It’s a suspenseful historical novel that takes Sophie Barton, the heroine, into a headlong rush into danger.

“Sophie runs her father’s printing press, has been widowed twice, raised a daughter. She wants to travel, and have more out of life. But, she didn’t plan on identifying her father’s corpse. She didn’t expect to flee from the British and the rebels, running with her brother; Mathias, a friend; Mathias’ Creek cousins and his French uncle. The group did intend to find her father’s murderer. As they escaped Georgia, they encountered bandits, Spanish assassins and runaway slaves.

“Adair’s novel tells of the Revolutionary War in the southern colonies, the Caribbean and Cuba. It’s a compelling story of little-known history, and a group of neutral people caught up between opposing forces. After reading this historical pageturner, I’m anxiously waiting for the sequel, The Blacksmith’s Daughter.

–Lesa Holstine, Vine Voice

Absolute Liability was the best mystery I’ve read in ages. I’m so glad it’s the first of a series.

–Nancy Kelly

Here’s the set-up:

Meet Julia Jackson. Apparently, she’s been abducted….

A woman is taken at gunpoint from the downtown office of Southeastern Insurance, and the police believe the victim is Special Agent Julia Jackson. Only it isn’t true.

Now, with the help of her new partner Mark Vincent, state fraud investigator Julia Jackson must find justice for the woman who was taken in her place. As Vincent and Julia begin to unravel the multimillion-dollar frauds that led to the abduction, they encounter a cast of quirky characters, one of whom will go to desperate lengths to hide a deadly secret. Things only become more dangerous as bodies begin accumulating around town, and Julia must discover the truth before the abductor comes to rectify his mistake.

Absolute Liability is the first in the six-book Southern Fraud Thriller series, which blends suspense, humor, and Southern charm with just a touch of romance. If you enjoy reading humorous mysteries or watching TV crime dramedies like Castle, The Mentalist, or In Plain Sight, you should like Absolute Liability.

One Reviewer Notes:

“When I find a really good mystery I cannot put it down and that is the case with Absolute Liability, which I read straight through as fast as I could. Julia Jackson is a really believable lead character. She’s funny without being annoying, she’s vulnerable and insecure enough to not be a superwoman, and she yet she is clever and dedicated enough to keep me interested and rooting for her.

Her new partner Mark Vincent is, um . . . hot. Yes, I said it! But he’s got layers and layers that I so want Julia to start unraveling. I love the chemistry between them and I cannot wait to read more about these awesome characters.

All in all, I say two thumbs up! Five stars! I vote this as one of my “super satisfying summer reads,” and I highly recommend that you read it.

–Jessica M

“”Bradley Convissar’s book Dogs of War is brilliant! The writing is breathtakingly precise and painful. A ghost story way up on the line with my personal favorite Stephen King books: Cujo and the Pet Sematary.”

-Natalie Valentina, Goodreads

Here’s the set-up:

After divorcing his wife of two years, Gary Lettner thinks he has found the perfect house for himself and Molly, his eight-year-old dachshund.

But when the throats of the dead begin to cry out in a voice that only Molly can hear, and when evidence of past atrocities committed in his new home begin to surface, Gary finds himself an unlikely participant in a brutal quest for vengeance.

One Reviewer Notes:

“If you enjoy ghost stories and have the need to be frightened by written word then here is your chance. This is a well thought out story and has a scare at every turn. Was truly impressed and can not wait to read more by this author.”

–Albert Robbins III, Free Book Reviews

I was born on Fort Benning Army Base in Georgia in 1977 but spent most of my formative years in southern NJ, outside of Philadelphia. I attended Tulane University in New Orleans in the late nineties, where I earned by bachelors degree in evolutionary biology, then spent the next four years trapped in scenic Newark, New Jersey, earning my DMD from The University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey.

Now in my thirties, I find myself living back in the same zip code I grew up in, but in a different house with my own family. I have a son and a daughter and a diabetic Daschund named Friday who is prematurely going blind.

“I can safely say I’ve never read anything like Divine City….”

Here’s the set-up:

Supernatural forces and secret societies descend on modern Bangkok as a series of mysterious black boxes surface into the lives of five remarkable individuals in this magical realism collection of five short stories. As this cross-genre piece modulates through elements of the psychological mystery, horror, the thriller, the detective mystery, adventure and romance, it explores classic Western themes—the Fall, the Temptation, Pandora’s box—in an Eastern setting. The book is ultimately a study of the human obsession with the unknown.

One Reviewer Notes:

“Divine City is a group of five short stories woven together under the guise of a meeting of jewel and gemstone buyers. Their gracious host entertains them for the evening with a series of stories all involving black, jewel-encrusted boxes… Robinson grapples with some contemporary Western themes in these stories and puts them in the context of Thai culture.

“There’s a 52% chance that the next Dan Brown will be a woman … or should we just make that 100% now? Think “MEDIUM meets THE LOST SYMBOL” and it only begins to describe the pleasures of N.S. Wikarski’s THE GRANITE KEY.”

–Kindle Nation

Here’s the set-up:
Forget everything you thought you knew about ancient history. The real facts have been buried… Until now!

Imagine yourself a nineteen year old college student. Your life is normal in every way until a bizarre set of events drags you into a hidden world of danger. You are recruited by an underground society questing for artifacts that reconstruct the lost history of the human race. You are being pursued by a fanatical religious cult intent on acquiring a legendary relic before you do. A relic that, in the wrong hands, has the power to destroy the world.

In a treasure hunt that spans twelve thousand years of human history and covers every continent, the Arkana series digs deep through the layers of fabricated history to reveal a past we never dreamed we had and a future we never dreamed we could have.

A secret society. A fanatical cult. A telepathic girl.

All vie to unlock the mysteries of the granite key. The quest leads halfway around the globe to the ruins of a forgotten civilization and a secret it has guarded for millennia. The fate of the world depends on who can get there first.

One Reviewer Notes:

“This is a fantastic book that captured my attention from the first page. Secret societies, murder, history, religious zealots, hidden artifacts and mysterious codes all come together to create a world the reader wants to inhabit. Quite a crafty mystery, it spans the globe and really puts the reader ‘in the scene’ with all the great detail surrounding the locations and their historical relevance. I found the characters to be unique and interesting, and I loved the attention to dialectic detail. By the final page I was already looking forward to more adventures within ‘the Arkana’.
