Very detailed writing allows you to get a better understanding of how certain processes and procedures are carried out. Interesting characters keep things moving in lots of different directions. Would recommend to those interested in good guys coming out on top and to those who like a little romance mixed in.

For those who like a PI story with personality, the story is straightforward with more action than introspection, explanation over exploration, and just enough rationalizing by Danny to explain away any doubt we might have about his decisions. While the story only provides a snowflake on the tip of an iceberg as a peek at the problem, people need to realize that slavery is alive and well in the U.S. And that's what this is "slavery". You can nuance it in different terms, but it's slavery. According to the U.S. Department of Justice, human trafficking has become the second fastest growing criminal industry -- just behind drug trafficking -- with children accounting for roughly half of all victims. And those are only the ones we know of. Too often, authorities say, victims stay silent out of fear, so no one knows they exist.
