V.M. Black's novella Life Blood is fresh and full extremely entertaining. Cora is a twenties woman who happens to have a terminal illness -- Cancer. Her doctor refers her to a mysterious man for treatment and the book takes off from there. I don't want to spoil it for anyone, but this is a book that will really stick with you.
V.M. black paints a world that both Harkens back to the famous romance of novels of the eighties while remaining cutting edge enough to entice the New Adults of today. The descriptions are extravagant and the scenery makes you live each and every moment. From her descriptions of food to the sculpting of Mr. Thorne... Highly recommended.
