I write novels of suspense and I hope I’ve done it well. Debra Weiner is a writer who lives in Montclair, NJ with her husband and two cats. She is presently working on a documentary, a novel, and a poetry manuscript. She’s older and shorter than a lot of the die-hard competetors, and not exactly a favourite to win, but she’s a compelling character you can’t help but root for, both in the arena and out.

“Then just as the contest gets into gear and Lara is carving out her place in the cut-throat media event of the year, a body is dumped at her feet (almost literally), and things take a sinister turn.
