Saradi, close to losing everything, decides to join the military to be a part of a mission that could save the human race from extinction and rescue her brother at the same time.

Interview with the Author

Q – So, what makes the Earth 340K series special?

A- I set out to write stories with multidimensional characters, having been inspired by the writers such as George RR Martin and Stephen King. I also wanted to create a book that had pace, was set in a richly detailed world, and was a blast to read from start to end.

The Earth 340K books are a great mix of science fiction genres: military, dystopian, thriller, space exploration, adventure, and yes there’s even a bit of romance. I love to keep things interesting.

Overall, the Earth 340K series is designed to keep you turning the pages – and I’ve made sure there’s never a dull moment.

Q – What order should I read the Earth 340K books in?

A – I’ve written each novel as a standalone. You can read the books in any order, and all the story threads will tie up nicely by the time you’re finished. If you do want to read them in order, I’d suggest the following sequence:

– Executive

– Scientist

– Athlete

– Nun

– Resurrectionist

– Bloodhound

– Nurse

Q – So, why should readers give these books a try?

A – Because the Earth 340K series is a character centric, in depth, and dark novel that takes no prisoners. I wrote it because I wanted to read something that moved me but also had pace.

Q – Can readers get the whole series in one go?
A – In the future!

And thanks for reading!

Fixed is a darkly comedic memoir that spans my unsupervised youth, drug and alcohol addiction, bank robbery, life in prison and ultimately my release and re-entry into my life’s new and sober orbit.

I grew up with alcoholic parents trapped inside their own lonely skins, a painful childhood full of cold shoulders and broken furniture. I burst onto the drug scene at age eleven and thrived before slowly finding out that it wasn’t all that it was cracked up to be. With addiction taking over and dictating my every move, I tried to make sense of it all while gathering five unwanted felonies along the way.

At thirty-three, after a long string of bank robberies and my bad guy impersonation had run its course, I was brought back to life with the gift of prison and given the opportunity to experience a new childhood that I could have only imagined while growing up in Manville. Upon release, I learned that the universe is a kind and forgiving place, often strange and funny with plenty for everyone as long as I don’t forget where I came from.

“I have never laughed out loud so many times in a single book before–it’s that funny. This was one of those reads I thought about when I was away, a faint, nagging longing to return ASAP to the wild, wacky and occasionally achingly poignant world of Doug Poitter. But even the sad moments didn’t last long. The author’s razor-sharp wit easily lifted me up again, never morose despite plenty of tragedy. I didn’t want this book to end, and I want the next one right away. Reading this book is a major attitude adjustment, no matter your circumstances, for the better.” 5 star Amazon review

Here’s the set-up:
The spaceship destroyed, his family murdered, Duncan finds himself stranded on a planet circling Wolf 359. Along with the only other survivor, a beautiful gladiator named Alexis, they encounter a civilization whose past reaches back only 1500 years. Their fortune stumbles from the start when Alexis is immediately forced to fight the nation’s berserker who underestimates his opponent, and pays dearly for it. Yet no sooner is she awarded his position, title, and wealth when she is called upon to lead the nation’s warriors in the first full scale battle she has ever experienced, against an enemy who take no prisoners.
With the very real possibility of Alexis never returning, Duncan is left alone to fend for himself. Calling himself a wizard of the universe, he is brought before the Council of Prelates to explain his obvious heresy. Deftly answering their questions, he throws caution to the wind and challenges the nation’s high priest, Vix, to a contest of divine favor. The one who calls down thunder and lightning from the sky is the chosen one of God, and becomes the nation’s high priest. The loser dies.
Angry and nervous to be cornered into an arrangement that might reveal his own heresy, Vix quickly decides to preempt the contest by having Duncan murdered. Though he survived a destroyed spaceship, can Duncan now evade assassins? Can he really call down thunder and lightning?
