Here’s the set-up:

The Girl in Red Pajamas begins when two lesbians have a smack down in a Boston restaurant. After one is found dead stuffed in the back of the other’s SUV, their families line up and point fingers. Tensions mount as relatives question religious beliefs, and the police gather evidence to build a case against the survivor. Bogie McGruder becomes deeply involved in the investigation because one woman is his sister and the other, his old girlfriend. This third book in the Pajamas Trilogy brings the series to a glorious end.

Reviews:

This is the third part of an amazing series. This book can also be read as a stand alone, having said that I highly recommend readers check out the whole series. Chris Birdy does an amazing job with the series and this book also is a must read. Follow Bogie McGruder as his life is once again turned upside down, this time a murder hits close to home, when Delores Peabody is killed and the person accused is Bogie’s sister Ann McGruder. The author does a wonderful job with the twists and turns in this mystery and yes, Isabella is back and as rambunctious as ever as she gets ready to turn five. The author knows how to write stories readers pick up and can’t put down until the last fascinating page is turned. I read this was the finale of the series, but am looking forward to maybe a new set? I can only hope as an avid fan the books will continue.” – Amazon Reviewer

Laugh out Loud Funny, this book is an amazing read! This is one of those books that you just don’t want to end! When I saw the pages slowly getting fewer and fewer to the end, and my percentage read, slowly going up, I was getting sad, however, it’s just one of those books you just can’t seem to put down!

While this book IS a part of a series, it can also be read as a stand alone. The characters all work well together and the twists and turns keep the anticipation high. As dysfunctional as this group of family and friends is, I think I’d fit right in. Isabela is one of the smartest little 4 years olds that I’ve ever “met”, maybe even a little too smart for her own good! I would love to see this author do a series about how she turns out when she gets older. It can only be just as good!” – Amazon Reviewer

Here’s the set-up:

Now anyone can kill you anywhere!

An act of terrorism. A Presidential election. A Constitutional crisis. And a terrorist who may get away scott free! And it could happen again, perpetrated by anyone, anywhere . . . at a financial cost of next to nothing!

His name was not Shalik Sarram, but it was the name on his passport, and he entered the Customs area at JFK bearing no aerosol cans of infectious disease, no knives or scissors or weapons of any kind. He was in perfect health. He had three thousand dollars in his wallet and a credit card with a limit of five thousand which he needed to show to get into the country on a visitor’s visa, but wouldn’t touch.

The well-dressed Indian — as it said on his passport, flying in from Delhi — presented himself at Immigration Control in his elegant dark suit, his pale blue tie. Shalik was a name meant to impart an outgoing personality. He wore a happy, friendly grin on his nicely-tanned, clean-shaven face.

Anything to declare?” the Immigration man asked, scanning Shalik’s passport into the computer.

Just my iPad,” Shalik said, pulling the device from inside his jacket. He turned it on. Held it out.

The man shrugged. “Purpose of your visit?”

Tourism. First stop — after my hotel,” Shalik smiled, “ — the Statue Of Liberty! I can hardly wait!”

Immigration passed him through to Customs, where a female agent searched his blue roll-on bag, glancing surreptitiously at Shalik’s face while she poked through his clothes, watching for the signs — changes in breathing, posture, expression. But the man remained smiling, watching her casually as if the intrusion meant nothing.

Inside, Shalik was seething. The woman’s touch was haram. Forbidden. Unpure. Fortunately, the clothes were merely a prop, cheaply purchased to create a specific persona. Once Shalik had left the airport he would throw them away.

“Okay. You’re clear to go, sir,” she said, flipping the fabric top, sliding the case a couple of inches toward him.

“Thank you.”

Shalik zipped the bag, set it on the floor and left the airport at an even pace, looking around enthusiastically — as if fascinated by everything he saw.

Shalik’s real name was actually Sharik which he’d always thought fit him perfectly, so close was it to the English word Shark. He hated Shalik. Sharik was an Arab name! Shalik was Hindi! It was a small sacrifice. Shalik was a terrorist. Recruited and trained for a specific purpose, a mission that had already begun. He found a yellow cab. Got in. Gave an address. Ready to move on to Step Two. ***Click the book cover on this page for more!***

★★★★★5 star Amazon reviews

WOW another good one from Stelljes...”

Thoroughly enjoyed this book. It was suspenseful ,emotional and humorous all at the same time..just when you think you knew all there was to know about Mac, Stelljes adds more layers to his character!! It’s a must read!

This is a five (5) star story. It is superbly written. The central story is breathtaking–yes, in several sections, it is truly breathtaking. The dialogues are remarkably good. The author’s understanding of crime–in this book, it is terrible crime–and police work based on brilliant police-officer analysis rather than efficient police bureaucracy are extraordinary.

Here’s the set-up:

‘Even with all the pulpiness, suspense and thriller elements that exist in ‘Dancer’s Rain’, Sutherland writes some insightful, thought provoking, and beautiful prose bordering on the poetic… the novel transcends its genre at times, causing the sexual encounters and violence to clash against its conservative rural setting. Is it unsettling? Absolutely. It blurs the lines between right & wrong, reality & fantasy, and life & death. This is a serious bit of writing hidden within an exploitation genre.’ – Tim Rayne, CHSR-FM

Here’s the set-up:

Nick Ceratto, a young, cracker jack litigator looking for a partnership in the prestigious Philadelphia law firm of Maglio, Silvio, and Levin discovers his firm’s dark secret for increasing it’s bottom line while preparing a medical malpractice case for trial. The partners are setting up major cases by seriously injuring and even murdering their clients to produce huge jury awards. When the firm discovers he knows, Nick’s only hope is to stay one step ahead of the hitman long enough to intentionally lose his case and expose the firm’s corruption. As his mission careens towards an explosive climax, the only question left, is whose lives will be sacrificed along the way.

BLOOD MONEY is a classic examination of the duality of the American justice system, it’s strengths and weaknesses, and the interplay between it and raw ambition.

BLOOD MONEY is a disturbing depiction of a system gone wrong, and the one time golden boy who is finally able to understand the bigger picture and remember the oath taken and his dream that was once so clear.

Reviews

“For anyone who already dislikes lawyers, Blood Money will feed your disdain. It’s an insider’s view of how the law is played as a dirty business, and how nothing — least of all, the law itself — will stop the “worst of the worst” players from getting their way.” ~ E.J. Beard, 5-Stars

“I must recommend to you Blood Money (an apt title), an excellent book, a real thriller. I just finished the book. Actually I just started it, and then finished it in record time because I could not put it down.” ~ Rick Pickwick, 5-Stars

Reviews

“It was exciting to open a book and get that spine tingling feeling right away. Ms. Gisby has a talent for writing creepy scenes- the murder mystery plot line caught and held my attention.” – Novelspot Reviews

“I should know better than to begin an Annette Gisby book toward the end of the evening. As usual, I wound up sitting right where I was and reading it straight through. I am not a fan of the thriller genre, but Drowning Rapunzel is not a conventional thriller. This author doesn’t rely on blood and gore to shock her readers into an appropriately unnerved state. Instead she writes about ordinary people doing ordinary things, lulling us right along with her heroine until she drops the tale’s next bombshell.” – Nina M. Osier, author of High Places and Eppie award winner for Regs.

“Drowning Rapunzel is a delightful mystery and a delightful romance. There are secrets and plot twists aplenty. I enjoyed watching Beth and Josh slowly fall in love as they deal with the people and happenings around them.” – Romance Studio Reviews
