But her dreams ended brutally in December 1988. Returning home from a Syracuse University semester in London, she died in the terrorist bombing of Pan Am Flight 103 over Lockerbie, Scotland.

With Larry, they authored the much acclaimed Cry Ohana, Adventure and Suspense in Hawaii. She has published articles in The Washington Post, The Baltimore Sun, Washington Parent, Washington Woman, Senior Highlights, Smith Alumnae Quarterly, and elsewhere.
