Here’s the set-up:
Lilith-The Descendant is a timely psychological thriller about a psychopath Iranian terrorist, pursed for different reasons by the FBI, Mossad, a Mexican cartel, and an ex-Special Forces ex pat, as she makes her way from Iran to Las Vegas, where her fate and the fate of America will be decided.
Badra flees the restrictive confines of her marriage and tribal life, having been lured into the fundamentalist world of Jihad, where she believes that martyrdom will finally give meaning to her life. After two years of indoctrination, she and seven other women, nick-named The Wives, are willingly infected with a deadly hybrid virus, and smuggled into the United States, in a mad, Machiavellian scheme to bring America to its knees, and change the power structure of the Middle East.
Unknown to her keepers, Badra’s allegiance and commitment to the cause begins to unravel, as an ancient, repressed memory slowly emerges that changes her life forever. And she knows that she must find the truth hidden amongst the lies, if she is to survive
With well written dialogue and memorable characters, Lilith-The Descendant is more than a suspense novel, shrouded in political intrigue and betrayal. The first of a two book series, it is a dark, engrossing, coming-of-age story, which challenges the reader’s perceptions of good and evil, and leaves its audience wondering until the last pages who or what Badra really is, and how her story will end.
