Refreshingly, Eve is a woman who can handle herself in tough situations and proves her mettle on more than one occasion. She also has Dane tripping over himself to protect her. Dane is a good character and a bit more likeable than Simon. I really love how the two men constantly argued but behind all the macho bravado are good friends.

The action was well written. The romance focuses less on physical intimacy and more on an emotional bond. The relationship revealed itself very well throughout the story.
