Here's the set-up:
Princess Kara Asgrand is not only daughter to the king but also the greatest military mind of her era. Throughout the kingdom of Avandi and, indeed, the entire continent of Damendine, High General Kara is known as an unstoppable genius on the battlefield. No amount of genius, however, could have prepared Kara for the arrival of a wondrous fleet of great ships unlike anything ever seen. When the strange passengers disembark from the ships by the thousands, Kara is confronted with a sprawling tent city on Avandi's shore. The visitors, the Kullobrini, weave a tale of a lost expedition and ships riddled with disease and beg time to cleanse their vessels. As the days pass, however, holes appear in the Kullobrini’s story, and with every answer a new question arises. If the Kullobrini are hostile, they will cost Kara’s forces dearly. Regardless, Kara must defend her father’s kingdom, but she cannot ignore that her own life of war has made her judgment suspect.…Kara must decide what are the limits of one people’s compassion for another? And how far should one people go to protect themselves? If she trusts the Kullobrini wrongly, she could lose her father’s kingdom, but if she chooses war because it is the answer she has come to expect then she could lose her soul.
One Reviewer Notes:
'A Shore Too Far' is a very entertaining series debut which takes place on a secondary world with the usual pseudo-medieval society but with no magic so far. The novel is a first person narration from Kara Asgrand, daughter of the king of Avandi and commander in chief of the army. Kara is also a rival to her two brothers, Eric, a very able administrator and current ruler of Abrigol, the most important city outside of the capital, and Kollus who is mostly a scholar, though as royalty he also rules a province... Overall, A Shore Too Far (A+) is another very promising indie series debut which I recommend for a fast and very enjoyable read.

Celestra is pulled into more intrigue, more danger, and more romance, as she discovers who she is and why everyone wants to get her in Book 2 of the FADE series.

Background from Book 1, Fade:  “What if you found out you never existed?  My name is Celestra Caine. I am seventeen years old, which makes me a senior at Richmond High. I never thought this would happen to me, but it has… I’m one of those people you see every day, go to school with, remember seeing at the supermarket or the mall, and then one day you don’t hear about them any longer. They’re gone, and eventually, you forget them.”

This Version Includes A Gift with purchase, while supplies last. Also includes a chance to Win a $50 Amazon Gift Card.

From the reviewers:

“If you love the girls in Amanda Hocking’s and Suzanne Collins’ novels, it’s time you discovered bestselling YA series author Kailin Gow!” – Steve Windwalker, #1 Amazon bestselling author and Kindle Nation Daily founder.

Falling is the much-needed follow up to Fade, that kept my heart pounding. Fade ended on a cliffhanger that made me hold my breath for the next book. Luckily, Falling came only a month later.

Falling is amazing. Not only would you be blown away at finding out what Celes and Jack are, but you will fall further for their love story and the amazing heart-pounding action. This is such a visual book series and written in a style that I think is intended to get you right into the action and the character’s heads. Anyone looking for a refreshing new young adult and teen book, pick up the Fade series.  I recommend the Fade series in this order.  Fade, Falling, and Forgotten. –  “under the covers”

Here’s the set-up:
How does a man cope with the grim burden of carrying a demon inside him? And what if it was the most powerful demon of all–an ancient magical fiend known as Credesar who once ravaged the land and forced his will onto humanity?

A young sorcerer named Kelden is faced with this reality. With Credesar lurking within Kelden, waiting to break free and possibly end his life, he finds himself in a struggle just to retain his sanity. To make matters worse, his masters–the tower seers–are sending him off on a long and perilous quest to destroy the demon.

But nothing is what it seems. Someone wants Kelden dead for reasons of their own, and danger lurks at every turn in a land ravaged by ethereal worms. Soon Kelden finds himself caught in a web of mystery with scheming seers, and dark entities from the hungry realm of Tharnin, making war upon each other.
Who can Kelden turn to when terrible forces seem stacked against him on all sides and Credesar seems intent on consuming his existence from within? The answer comes as a surprise to all.

The Curse of Credesar stands alone as a complete novel, but it is also the beginning of a major epic fantasy series.

AUTHOR’S BACKGROUND:

Robert E. Keller has published more than 30 fantasy stories in various online and print magazines. He is also the author of Knights: The Eye of Divinity, another epic fantasy novel that begins another series concerning the war against the Eye of Tharnin. He lives in Northern Michigan with his wife Tracy.
