Here’s the set-up:

Breakthrough technology is great, until you live long enough to become obsolete. Wilek and the other ABC Captains have successfully handled this over the past century, but a resurgent Earth jealously eying the Off Worlds will soon put the hype to the test.
Add to the mix an unasked for new crew ‘mate’, salty recruits and a happy bio, Captain Wilek may reach his last good nerve long before Earth.

Reviews:

“William Krasinski’s EXTENDEDCOMPANION is an intelligent and thought-provoking novel, on one level. The author wisely inserts today’s world problems into his post-apocalyptic work allowing the reader a certain level of comfort in the future. . .Krasinski has sprinkled in eccentric characters, misfits, adventure, intrigue, and tons of mystery. . .  At first, it’s hard to pin down Wilek and to determine what type of leader he is. By the end, many readers may find him charming, but still baffling. That’s a good thing.” – Self-Publishing Review

“This book is great! In addition to providing some dry humor, it addresses issues in real time that are evolving today in both social behavior and government responses.” – 5 star Amazon review

Meanwhile, Mistress Telaine Le Fay, sorceress of Gothrond, is dispatched to investigate the hostilities. Her mission is to discover the roots of the conflict and negotiate a peace settlement. The situation proves unclear, however, and she finds herself inextricably tangled in a web of lies, desperately searching for an elusive truth.
Telaine’s past mentor, the excitable intellectual, Jax, has a problem of his own. His studies have led him to a discovery that could have dire consequences, and he is determined to discover if the threat he fears is indeed real.
In the desert sands of the Great Waste, an adventurous young man named Tor longs for something more than his mundane, everyday scramble for subsistence. Little does he know, Jarwulf, the infamous Blood Berserker from the north, and his mercenary band will soon arrive in his village – and sweep him off to a life he dared not even imagine.
Amidst the tide of darkness rising in Vrold, the only hope may be an unlikely alliance, but evil is rarely obvious. It is a subtle force hiding in plain sight, and the truth is hard to find when even heroes can fall prey to its malevolent will…

“This is a fabulous story and well written. I thought the characters were great. The story was filled with mystery, magic, gothic romance and of course, for the lovers of the paranormal, the usual lust for blood. Another intriguing story from this author that I couldn’t put down. Pass it on!”

Raven
4.5 stars – 15 Reviews

Here’s the set-up:

What possible link could Mark Hayek, an introverted twenty-first century research scientist, have to Raven, a young woman who lived during the late Pleistocene? It has everything to do with an encounter between a band of Early Modern Humans and a group of Neanderthals intent on hunting bison.

As meticulously researched as Jean Auel’s Earth Children series but with the benefit of recent discoveries, this novella is an updated story revealing how contact between Neanderthals and Early Humans had surprising results.

After an injured Neanderthal hunter is taken captive, Raven, as a healer, feels she has no option but to become his advocate. Her own survival soon becomes doubtful when the band’s leader threatens to cast her out onto the steppe for what he sees as dangerous willfulness.

Raven feels an unexpected empathy for the mysterious Neanderthal. But while trying to preserve his life and health, will she go so far as to commit what could be the worst error of her own life? Mark Hayek will never find out that Raven faced a frightening dilemma. But if he did know, he would understand that the present reality exists because of choices made in the past.

 5-star Amazon reviews

“Finding Neanderthal DNA in modern humans means the Neanderthals did not die out totally, but interbread with other humanoids that resulted in modern humans. A fictional account of how that might have happened is well written.”

“Raven’s choice grabbed me from the first page. Harper Swan painted a beautiful picture with the beginning of this adventure. I need to know more. More about Raven’s life and what is going to happen with Mark.”

Outstanding read!! I would suggest this book to anyone looking to gain more insight of a “bully” and the triumphant path of overcoming.

Thank you Sasha for baring your soul, sharing your harrowing story with us, and for reminding us how bullies are the way they are for a reason. A terribly sad reason.

This book was so amazing I could not put it down.
