This novella is a great start to a unique and different Paranormal Romance/Sci Fi series. Being a child of the 80's, the first thing I thought of when reading it was that it has a Terminator kind of feel to it (which I love). Alexa is a member of the Taken - which in her case is the 1st born daughter in a long line from her family. She is sent back in time to prevent a "bug" being released in the world that kills everyone. Her instructions are to kill the scientists who created this "bug". One of the scientists is dreamy Luke Harrison -and of course sparks fly between them the moment she arrives. *Note: pretty steamy love scenes in this book.
