I am the author of "Call Me Tuesday," a book based on my own true-life experience as a victim of extreme mental and physical child abuse. I share my story with hopes of offering inspiration to others who have suffered in a similar way, and to add to the awareness of some of the often overlooked signs of abuse in children.
I chose to present my story as a fictionalized memoir out of respect for the privacy and dignity of family members, teachers, neighbors and social workers that had some involvement in my abuse. My futile anger for these people festered for many years before I finally learned to let go of it and forgive, not so much for their benefit as for the peace of my own soul.
I was born in middle Tennessee where I spent my early pre-teen years before my family relocated to western Kentucky. I now enjoy a quiet semi-reclusive existence in Evansville, Indiana, where I am working on a sequel to "Call Me Tuesday."
