You Have to Believe Me

by Sunday Tomassetti
4.4 stars – 276 reviews
Text-to-Speech and Lending: Enabled
Here’s the set-up:

She has every reason to hate her ex … it doesn’t mean she wants him dead.

Every day on her way home from work, Dove Damiani drives past her ex-house, where her ex-husband lives with her ex-dog and her ex-yoga instructor, next to her ex-neighbors and the ex-life she once affectionately described as “frighteningly perfect.”

To outsiders, Dove is bitter and resentful. The divorce left her alone, with nothing but a set of car keys and 50% of a paltry savings account.

So when the lifeless body of her former husband is discovered in the birch grove outside Dove’s apartment on what would have been their fifth wedding anniversary, investigators waste no time making Dove a person of interest.

She swears she didn’t do it. She’s never so much as killed a spider in her thirty-four years.

But as evidence mounts against her, Dove finds herself questioning her memory, her sanity, and even—her innocence.

The Chakras of Tantra: Seven Wheels of Self-Mastery

by Ganga Devi
5.0 stars – 13 reviews
Text-to-Speech: Enabled
Here’s the set-up:

Chakras have sparked an unprecedented interest across the world and there has been a vast amount of literature published in recent years.

They have inspired spiritual aspirants, seekers and mystics for thousands of years and they have fascinated psychologists, psycho-therapists and the general public for over a century.

This groundbreaking book presents the tantric view of the chakras as they have been treated traditionally within the rich system of tantric practices and help the reader understand how they can be used as powerful tools of self-mastery.
The chakras are fascinating since they are the gateways to consciousness. We will see how they are to be approached for spiritual evolution, to bring about the shift of individual and collective consciousness and how we can work with them so as to attain complete self-mastery.

Chakras are to be treated as part of a comprehensive approach aiming at Self-realization. There is a purpose to working with the chakras and it’s far removed from any kind of narrow self-serving interests. Chakras are gateways into our highest spiritual potential and the stepping-stones of a very concrete, down-to-earth path to enlightenment. A path anyone who desires to do so, can walk.

You can read this book simply to learn more about the chakras as presented in Tantra or you may use it as a practical guide for your spiritual work, as it is filled with practical instructions, exercizes, stories, anecdotes and personal experiences.
I hope it can inspire you to delve deeper into the mystery of who you truly are.

In God We Trust; The Dollar We Worship

by Donald Galade
5.0 stars – 16 reviews
Text-to-Speech and Lending: Enabled
Here’s the set-up:
The purpose of this book is to show the will of the Lord to unlock the blessings in our lives, as long as we do our part with what we are given by God. We learn in the Word that much is required of us in order to be in covenant blessings and abundance with God. It is our focus to assist those that do not know or are confused about what Jesus did for us on Calvary with the truth. We have a lot to do with how much and when we receive from the Father. I will, however, touch on some topics that others addressed, with a slightly different slant. May you be blessed as you read this, and may the power of the Holy Spirit open your ears and remove the scales from your eyes as it permeates and transforms you, in Jesus name. When I realized there was more to life than making a buck, the Lord showed me I could not only provide for my family, but also sow into His Kingdom, and sow into his people as well. He showed me how to lead with the Word in everything I did. What makes this book truly a work from the Lord is that I did not grow up reading the Bible. Truth be told, I didn’t even own one until 2001. Coming from a “religious” background, I had the same thought process as most Christians do today. Just be a “good person” and go to church, and maybe you‘ll make it to Heaven! Although I believed in God and knew who Jesus was, and what He did for us on the cross, I thought that was all I needed to know. The Lord would soon show me differently. He showed me many things about the Word and about religion. I soon found out that there was a difference. In many churches money is a very emotional subject when discussed from the pulpit. In case the title had not given it away, this book is going to discuss these topics in great detail, all of which will be supported by the Bible. Some who read this may be blessed, others may find the information contained herein in contempt. Please take each scripture and concept and search it for yourself. Study the context used in this book. Do not take my word for it, ask the Lord to prove my words true. If you ask God for guidance with regard to His Word, it will never come back void! This book is designed to be an educational tool based on Biblical and financial principles as it relates to economics in our world.

Here’s the set-up:

What are friends for?

Wallflower Cate Cabot has always been content to keep the world at arms’ length, particularly from behind the register at the upscale Floridian boutique where she’s worked for the last nine years. Her days are filled with old-moneyed locals and nouveau-riche tourists, most of them paying her no mind as she rings up their lavish hauls.

Until Odessa DuVernay.

At first glance, she’s just another picture-perfect Palm Shores trophy wife—until she proves herself personable, humble, and unassuming. She even goes so far as to take a genuine interest in Cate, inviting her for lunch dates, matinees, and girl talk—a refreshing change of pace for the woman who never quite mastered the art of making (and keeping) friends.

But what begins as an unlikely friendship detours into the unthinkable when Odessa leaves Cate a panicked voicemail asking to meet—and then ghosts her. And worse—when Cate attempts to find her, it’s as if the enigmatic Mrs. DuVernay never existed at all…

Consumed, Cate refuses to stop searching. But the truth won’t come easy.

In fact, it could cost her everything.

She swears she didn’t do it. She’s never so much as killed a spider let her alone her ex-husband… You Have To Believe Me by Sunday Tomassetti

“I literally just finished You Have To Believe Me and now I’m sitting here with a major book hangover … a story excellently written, a wicked ride where nothing is as it seems, literally nothing. This end I never ever saw coming.” Konny, Goodreads
