Sworn, is hilarious, teens will have some fun with this one.

In the tradition of true comedy, it parodies some famous horror whilst not being a horror story. You will recognize Frankenstein and Edward Scissorhands, even Lord of the Rings.

Look for them in the hugely funny character Harley, there’s a reason why his eyes keep changing color and it’s not because he’s a vampire, and the description of Rodger evokes Gollum for me. Bea’s friend Harry with her own description of a make-out session with the guy she has the hots for is such fun; tongue in cheek humor abounds.

I loved the witch school and the fabulous made up words.

There are serious threads within the book, the fact that Bea’s parents are in orbit and the kindness of Aunt Matilda, the premise that love can change things. All offset with this beautiful humor, Sworn is a comedy, a romance, a witch fest, a really good read and can be recommended.   –  “fiddlestix”
