31 Powerful Prayers For Children – Guaranteed to Help Them Win in Life was borne out of the desire to see my children fulfill their potential – in short – become all that God created them to be.

I am the mother of two young children and like any good parent I have great aspirations and dreams for my daughters. Recently as I was walking from a local shop to my house I felt the Spirit of God tell me to turn my aspirations into prayers.

He just began to remind me that prayers are priceless and valuable. No prayer said or spoken in faith believing in the Name of Jesus goes unheard and unanswered. The bible tells us that God actually records and stores all of our prayers as well as answers them.

So in addition to leaving our children an inheritance in money, houses, cars and legacies we can also leave them a harvest of a lifetime of prayer! Think about that!

Every day we speak a prayer to God for them that is another harvest they will walk into along their pathway of life.

I wrote this book to help you do just that!

When danger comes lurking in the night, most people run home and hide—safe behind a locked door. For others, though, running home isn’t the answer. For these unlucky ones, when the front door closes and locks at night—the horror’s not locked outside. It’s locked inside.

Isabel Delgado knows all about horror. For nearly five years, her step-father subjects her to the kind of abuse and depravation that no child should ever have to endure. But Isabel survives. Her spirit is strong and she never gives up hope. On the morning of her 16th birthday, Isabel takes a stand. She wakes early, gathers her things in a school backpack, and with a last look behind, she runs. But Isabel’s not prepared for what she finds.

In the third Danny Logan mystery novel, Seattle author M.D. Grayson brings Danny Logan and the entire team at Logan PI–”Toni” Blair, Kenny Hale, and “Doc” Kiahtel—back for their most exciting and most important adventure yet. What Drives Good People to Do Something Bad? Victoria Brown’s Historical Fiction Novel Zemesta – Touching on Social Issues of The 1920s, Follow Three Boyhood Friends During The Tumultuous Days of Prohibition – Over 35 Rave Reviews!

Here’s the set-up:

What Drives Good People to Do Something Bad? As terrible revelations come to light, four people join together to commit an unspeakable act…

When a member of the privileged upper class frames a Polish immigrant for a socialite’s murder in 1920s Akron, the heart-pounding events that follow lead to a stunning and unexpected conclusion. This gripping tale of bigotry and class distinctions includes political corruption, greed, injustice, murder, and betrayal. While Albo Jablonski endures the atrocious conditions of the state penitentiary, his son Nickels, daughter Antonia, and their friends Kurt and Charlie are tormented by the knowledge that he is innocent. Zemsta is a powerful, character-driven story of three boyhood friends during the tumultuous days of Prohibition that explores the meaning of friendship, family, love, and loyalty.

Reviews

“Brown’s debut novel recounts how a young woman’s murder affects the lives of childhood friends. But it is the portrayal of real-world history–the height of Prohibition, the early days of cinema–that makes the book such a gem. A nostalgic, authentic novel that charms with its vintage hue.” –Kirkus Reviews

“Zemsta touches on social issues of the ’20s, when Akron was a stronghold of groups like the Ku Klux Klan that targeted not only African-Americans, but also Jewish, Catholic and immigrant workers who had been attracted by the labor boom of the rubber industry. There are many good historical details.” –Akron Beacon Journal

Zemsta makes an excellent choice for book clubs. If you are interested in having the author join your book club discussion by Skype, just send a note by e-mail (located in the back of the book) to set it up.

Some say the modern world is evil, without spirit or soul. Some yearn for a simpler time. What if they got their way? – David Litwack’s Sci-Fi Novel There Comes a Prophet is Our eBook of the Day at just $4.99, with 4.7 Stars on 11 Reviews, and Here’s a Free Sample

Here’s the set-up for David Litwack’s There Comes a Prophet, just $4.99 on Kindle:

A world kept peaceful for a thousand years by the magic of the ruling vicars. But a threat lurks from a violent past. Wizards from the darkness have hidden their sorcery in a place called the keep, and left a trail of clues that have never been solved.

Nathaniel has grown up longing for more, but unwilling to challenge the vicars. Until his friend Thomas is taken for a teaching, the mysterious coming-of-age ritual. Thomas returns but with his dreams ripped away. When Orah is taken next, Nathaniel tries to rescue her and ends up in the prisons of Temple City. There he meets the first keeper of the ancient clues. But when he seeks the keep, what he finds is not magic at all.

If he reveals the truth, the words of the book of light might come to pass:

“If there comes among you a prophet saying ‘Let us return to the darkness,’ you shall stone him, because he has sought to thrust you away from the light.”

From the reviewers:

Author David Litwack has created a believable dystopian world devoid of technology [after] technology overtook humanity and led to social collapse…This is a coming-of-age story, a tale of friendship and loyalty, and of self-discovery and self-belief… such a well-written book with so many thought-provoking concepts that I am sure readers will thoroughly enjoy it. –Fiona I. for Readers Favorite

Litwack takes the reader on an adventurous ride of ups and downs, ins and outs as Orah, Nathaniel and Thomas set out to find their true selves. It is a fast-paced novel that will never leave you, always calling you back when you have other things to do.–Molly E. for Readers Favorite

Author David Litwack has created a vivid world and a great adventure that transports the reader far into a fascinating future.– Jean Brickell for Readers Favorite

From the author:

There Comes a Prophet is about a dystopia devoid of technology, the result of an overreaction to a distant past where progress had overtaken humanity and led to social collapse. The solution—an enforced return to a simpler time. But Prophet is also a coming of age story, a tale of three friends and their loyalty to each other as they struggle to confront a world gone awry. Each searches for the courage to fight the limits imposed by their leaders, along the way discovering their unique talents and purpose in life.

The urge to write first struck when working on a newsletter at a youth encampment in the woods of northern Maine. It may have been the night when lightning flashed at sunset followed by northern lights rippling after dark. Or maybe it was the newsletter’s editor, a girl with eyes the color of the ocean. But he was inspired to write about the blurry line between reality and the fantastic.

Using two fingers and lots of white-out, he religiously typed five pages a day throughout college and well into his twenties. Then life intervened.

He paused to raise two sons and pursue a career, in the process becoming a well-known entrepreneur in the software industry, founding several successful companies. When he found time again to daydream, the urge to write returned.

There Comes a Prophet is his first novel in this new stage of life.

David and his wife split their time between Cape Cod, Florida and anywhere else that catches their fancy. He no longer limits himself to five pages a day and is thankful every keystroke for the invention of the word processor.

Here's the set-up:
From the author of the sensational Amazon.com bestseller, Alice in Deadland, comes another unique and action packed take on the zombie genre.

It began with stories of undead Taliban rampaging through Afghan villages, and faster than anyone could have anticipated; the darkness spreads through the world.

In a world laid waste by this new terror, four unlikely companions have been thrown together- a seventeen year old boy dealing with the loss of his family, a US Navy SEAL trying to get back home, an aging, lonely writer with nobody to live for, and a young girl trying to keep her three year old brother safe.

When they discover that the smallest amongst them holds the key to removing the scourge that threatens to destroy their world, they begin an epic journey to a rumoured safe zone high in the Himalayas. A journey that will pit them against their own worst fears and the most terrible dangers- both human and undead.

A journey through a wasteland now known as Zombiestan.
One Reviewer Notes:
Dhar puts a completely new and unique spin on the typical zombie novel...Another unique trait this novel holds are the truly strong and well-developed characters. Unlike many novels of this type, the focus isn't solely on the walking dead and the havoc they reap, instead a tremendous amount of time is spent focusing on the character development, the evolution of the characters as they progress on their trek to safety...Zombiestan is truly a thrill-ride of a read. Don't let the zombies frighten you way from a truly impressive read.

Here’s the set-up:

She stole his fate…

Lachesis is a Fate, an ancient goddess in whose hands our destinies are unraveled. When she’s not weaving fortune, she does what she wants when she wants. That all changes when she runs into the man she craves but prayed to never see again. And she’ll soon discover the god of terror can really hold a grudge.

Now it’s his turn…

The most frightening of gods, Phobos is a predator who takes pleasure in terrorizing the world. After millennia of relentless searching, he finds the Fate who caused him to be cast down from Olympus. Now he plans to use every bit of his talents on the goddess to regain his lost heritage without losing his heart in the process.

Stealing Fate is a 20,000-word standalone novella (about 100 pages) in the Unspun series, which sheds light on the Greek Fates, three ancient goddesses who played a role in many myths. The other Unspun novellas are Creating Fate by Rachel Firasek and Chasing Fate by Elle J Rossi.
