But when a movie star’s death shines a spotlight on Charleston’s underground cocaine trade, T.A. must go undercover to find the main supplier and shut the ring down.

The pressure is on as T.A. adopts an entirely new identity and attempts to earn the trust of the powerful drug kingpin. But things are about to get even more complicated. An ex-lover shows up threatening to blow T.A.’s cover, a budding relationship with the woman of his dreams is about to fall apart, and a deadly hurricane is bearing down on the coastal city.

A Peek at Bathsheba (The David Chronicles Book 2)

by Uvi Poznansky
4.5 stars – 54 reviews
Currently FREE for Amazon Prime Members
Text-to-Speech and Lending: Enabled
Here’s the set-up:

Having reached his peak, David makes a serious error that threatens to undo his political success and cost him not only the adoration of his people, but also the sense of being sustained by a divine power. That error is the most torrid tale of passion ever told: his forbidden love for Bathsheba.

When she becomes pregnant, David attempts to cover up the ensuing scandal by sending her husband—who serves him faithfully in his army—to his death. And for the rest of his life, he is tormented by the memory of that moment. Will he find redemption? Will he muster the strength to keep his promise to her and protect their son from danger?

This is volume II of the trilogy The David Chronicles, told candidly by the king himself. David uses modern language, indicating that this is no fairytale. Rather, it is a story that is happening here and now. Listen to his voice as he undergoes a profound change, realizing the magnitude of his sin, and the curse looming over his entire future.

If you like ancient historical fiction about court intrigue, this king David novel has a modern twist like no book you have read before. And among forbidden love books, this one stands alone.

Here’s the set-up:

In the afterlife, Henry has remained with the same group of teenagers and he keeps wondering why. After all, what could he possibly have in common with a Mohawk-sporting punker from the 80s, a roller skater from the 70s with a thing for kimonos, and an English “rocker” from the 60s? Add to that, Henry can hear the other groups but he never sees them. Soon, Henry learns that his new friends all possess unique skills for making themselves noticed by the living. Is his group kept isolated because of their abilities? If so, are they considered gifted or seen only as a potential bad influence?

Before he can reach any conclusions, Henry witnesses his sister being kidnapped. He knows who did it, where she’s being held and what will happen if the kidnappers don’t get what they want. As the police chase false leads, Henry comes to realize that he’s his sister’s only hope. But for him to even have a chance, Henry first has to convince a group of teenagers that dead doesn’t mean helpless.

That is…until he insulted my shoes and stole my corner office.

Now I have to work side-by-side with the surly British arsehole who just set my career back six months.

It’s fine. That accent won’t get to me, no matter how sexy it sounds when he asks permission to do things professionals shouldn’t do. On the couch. In the corner office I still wish was mine.

Maybe we can’t keep our hands off each other, but I’m sure as hell not falling for a guy who lives an ocean away. Because in six months, he’s leaving for good.

I don’t do broken hearts, but you know what they say…

There’s a first time for everything.

“Love love loved this book. AJ Pine is always a fabulous writer and storyteller, but I feel like 6 Month Rule is one of her best works to date. Can’t wait for the next one, but in the meantime, I think I might just reread. At least once more…” –Natalie Blitt, author of The Distance from A to Z

May I, just say that I adore A.J. Pine and her heartwarming second installment to The Kingston Ale House Series. Interview with the Author

Q – So, what makes the Earth 340K series special?

A- I set out to write stories with multidimensional characters, having been inspired by the writers such as George RR Martin and Stephen King. I also wanted to create a book that had pace, was set in a richly detailed world, and was a blast to read from start to end.

The Earth 340K books are a great mix of science fiction genres: military, dystopian, thriller, space exploration, adventure, and yes there’s even a bit of romance. I love to keep things interesting.

Overall, the Earth 340K series is designed to keep you turning the pages – and I’ve made sure there’s never a dull moment.

Q – What order should I read the Earth 340K books in?

A – I’ve written each novel as a standalone. You can read the books in any order, and all the story threads will tie up nicely by the time you’re finished. If you do want to read them in order, I’d suggest the following sequence:

– Executive

– Scientist

– Athlete

– Nun

– Resurrectionist

– Bloodhound

– Nurse

Q – So, why should readers give these books a try?

A – Because the Earth 340K series is a character centric, in depth, and dark novel that takes no prisoners. I wrote it because I wanted to read something that moved me but also had pace.

Q – Can readers get the whole series in one go?
A – In the future!

And thanks for reading!

Here’s the set-up:

Sibyl Blackthorne isn’t afraid of anything—except maybe being sold into marriage to a man she doesn’t love. A man she’s never even met. A man who, by reputation, is one of Scotland’s cruelest lairds in over a century. But what choice does she have, with her father dead and her uncle now married to his brother’s widow, putting him in charge of not only the Blackthorne fortune, but Sibyl’s future as well?

Then her betrothed turns out to actually be far worse than his reputation, so headstrong Sibyl decides life as a peasant, or even death, would be preferable to a future with such a despicable man, and makes plans to run away.

On an organized hunt for wolves—or, as the Scots call them, wulvers—Sybil escapes her fiancé’s clutches, only to find she’s run into something far more untamed and dangerous in the middle of the woods.

When a big, brawny, long-haired man, who only speaks to her in Gaelic and calls himself Raife, simply picks her up and carries her off with him into the Scottish wild, Sibyl knows she’s in trouble.

When he takes her to a place no human has ever been, she knows she’s gone over the edge.

And when he, at last, marks her as his own, she discovers that only one wild heart can claim another.

Note: This book is a standalone, no cliffhanger, but part of a trilogy.

“Selena Kitt is a relatively new author to me so I wasn’t sure what to expect from this book. I usually like shifter stories and historical romances so of course I decided to give it a try. It cannot be bad if you have Scottish Highlanders 🙂 Well, I wasn’t disappointed 🙂

The story is captivating and it really keeps you glued to your seat. It has everything necessary to make it your favorite, no matter what your preferences in romance are. There is suspense, intrigue, heartbreak, somewhat forbidden love and of course hot scenes with even hotter highland shifters that will melt your panties on the spot :)” – Amazon Five Star Verified Purchase

Here’s the set-up:

Book One in the Firefly Hollow Series.

In 1960, a tragic death in the family calls young Sarah Browning back from college to her Appalachian homestead. Unable to return to school and finish her degree, she finds herself facing a future that isn’t what she’d planned. Lost and grieving, she wanders onto her reclusive neighbor’s property where she stumbles across the all-too-attractive Owen Campbell, a man hiding secrets she’d only ever thought were legend.

Owen Campbell was raised on the folklore of Eastern Kentucky, tales of men and women with magical abilities from shape-shifting to healing powers. Rejected by those he loves because of his own abilities, he isolates himself from the world. When he meets Sarah, he’s faced with the tough decision of whether to let her in or stay hidden away to keep his heart safe.

Please note – this book is NOT a typical paranormal romance. No rage-beast shifters or alpha dogs here. It is, however, at its heart a romance set in the early 1960s, with a few intimate scenes between the hero and heroine as well as adult situations dealing with tragedy.

“Firefly Hollow” is the first book in the Firefly Hollow series, which are Women’s Fiction Romances set in Appalachia, featuring elements of traditional Appalachian folklore with a paranormal bent.

Five Star Verified Amazon Reviews:

I rarely give 5 star reviews but I really enjoyed this book and feel it deserves 5. The characters are true to life. believable and accurate for the time period of the story. The story line grabbed my interest from the very beginning and held it to the end. I read a great deal and have found many books that I have enjoyed – this one was just a little over the top of those and I highly recommend it to those who like clean, interest grabbing stories with a little romance and a little paranormal twist.

“I love reading about the Appalachian Mountains. Especially if it involves Kentucky. I grew up in and around London and Somerset. It is a beautiful area. Having read about shifters before. I was really drawn to Firefly Hollow. The author gives us some good useful information to help understand. As to how shifting actually works. There are some strange and mysterious things that happen in mountains. However that is only a small part of the story. There is so much more. It is about the culture of mountain people. About a young woman struggling in the beginning of a cultural change in the early sixties. How violence can destroy families and how love can grow in the middle of the worst of times. I hope you will enjoy this book as much as I have.”
